Le Parisien is the go-to neighborhood bistrot for Murray Hill, offering classic French food like steak frites, escargots and moules marinieres, paired with a well-edited list of french wines.
Chef Johnathan Masse brings his expert knowledge of comfort food, having most recently served as sous chef at the Waverly Inn, and also for Chef Jonathan Waxman of Barbuto. Along with owner Christian Merand, formerly of Jean-Claude in Soho, they have created a restaurant that focuses on serving consistently great traditional food with a lively and unmistakeably French atmosphere.

Cozy restaurant with excellent food. Great jazz in background. Noise level was low at 6:30, picked up towards 7:30-8. Given small size of restaurant the tables are close together but small price to pay for all the positives.

I have been dining at this restaurant for a couple decades. I have always been satisfied. The food is authentically french. The atmosphere is charming and the service is excellent.

Tiny restaurant- tables close together, but funky and authentic feels like it’s been there for at least 50years. Great food.I had a Delicious trout almondine, and wonderful profiteroles.

Met up with a friend for brunch. Hadn’t been here since before Covid. It’s a classic French bistro with a straight forward menu of bistro food. The prix fix is a great value and the “floating island” dessert is delicious!
