Food was terrible, salmon was cold. Brussels sprouts were hard as rocks. Service was mediocre. I won’t be back!

Sam, our waiter, was great. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The seafood was amazing as well. Definitely recommend going a little earlier (before 6pm) for half off charbroiled oysters during happy hour. They are well worth the full price, but who doesn’t like happy hour discounts?

Ate there on Christmas Day so probably some substitute employees! Hostess who seated us kept saying, “who’s suppose to clean the table, I am not!”, “I am not responsible for cleaning the table!” She kept looking at us! I know for sure this was not our responsibility! So didn’t get started on the best of terms! I wanted decaffeinated hot tea to drink and waiter brought a large tea bag that was large enough to steep a gallon of water!

I was a bit baffled by this restaurant. Maybe we just went on the wrong night. 7:30 and it was empty. Service was friendly. Menu was limited. Oysters were good. Food was salty. Wine was warm. Too many other choices in the Quarter to go there again.

We were getting in to the city late and decided just to eat dinner in our hotel so we wouldn’t have to find anything. Luckily for us, we picked the right hotel! I of course got the sampler of three different traditional NOLA items: red beans and rice; gumbo; and jambalaya. Perfect way to start our vacation. A few days later we just popped down to the bar lounge for a final beer and dessert and pleasant conversation with the bartender.

The server was somewhat inattentive. The food was not good. The gumbo had shells they we keep chewing on. The meat pie was not good at all.

The waitress should’ve checked if we needed more water. Tipping is about a service, gave her 20% although against it.

We ordered char-broiled oysters and they were o.k., nothing special. We had to ask for more bread to go along with them. We ordered the Red fish, and it was average to better than average. What was best of all was the crawfish cornbread; excellent taste and consistency. The chocolate bourbon pie was for dessert, it was o.k. It took FOREVER to get the bill. We decided we wouldn't go back.
