A top-notch charcuterie. A full decanting service with an impressive wine list. A bourbon collection you wouldn’t believe. The newest edition to historic Roswell, Little Alley Steak, rivals the greatest of steakhouses including Peter Luger’s in New York or Bern’s in Tampa.

Creators of top OTP hotspots, Hicham Azhari and Fikret Kovac are digging into the past to create a relaxed, late 1800′s-inspired space. The former antique shop has been transformed with refurbished brick, reclaimed wood and white subway tiles, track lighting fashioned from meat hooks and seating areas of booths and tables situated between low walls.

The menu is top-notch, the drinks are divine, the atmosphere is warm and lively, and the experience is one you shouldn’t miss.

We came out on a cold Monday night to celebrate a birthday. There were four adults and our grandson who is 17 months old. We were sat right by the front door and a drafty window. Every time the door opened we got the chill. I was able to keep covered with my coat and scarf. We went to bar first to get two glasses of wine. The bartenders were sweet and efficient. The hosts were friendly and even played with our grandson who is a big flirt. :) Our server was nice, but kind of quick to the draw as she would run off before we could order our Appetizers or salads. We were sat by a group of business men. In order for my husband and I to get in our seats we had to ask the one man who was sitting sideways and blocking our isle to let us in. He continued to sit pretty much on top of us. There were several empty tables in the back and all around so that was a little odd. We ordered two apps, split two salads, two steaks and three sides. The apps were good. Our steak was pretty rare and chewy. Not the norm we are used to here and Neats by Linz.. The lobster Mac and cheese was good, but very little lobster - lots of red peppers. Our potatoes were not cooked all the way through and there were more shallots than potatoes. They did bring the birthday guest a complimentary crème brûlée… the kicker was when we received. Our bill, gratuity was added? We had four guests and a baby. The menu states parties of six or more gratuity will be added. We felt scrutinized against because we had a baby. We would had left more as we always do. We are fine with the food not being the best as things happen, we know that servers get overwhelmed at times and that’s ok too, we don’t even let that reflect our tipping. When we asked the manager why gratuity was added, he said because there were five of you- a baby counts as five? The menu says six? We still enjoyed our time out with each other, just strange….

Excellent, outstanding, exceptional food, and service! It is crowded and extremely loud. It’s difficult to talk and hear over the noise. Parking is also difficult and hard to find. Allow some extra time for that and you will have to walk. We had reservations, but our table was not ready when we got there. We had to wait about five minutes. otherwise, we greatly enjoyed the food and will be back.
