We had raw oysters and the fried oysters. The raw oysters were delicious and so were the fried, except for the price. $42 and you only got 8 maybe and ton of french fries. The picture on the website is deceiving. Other than this dish, the halibut dinner was amazing and for the price, it was worth it.

Sat at the bar and our waitperson was exceptional. Food was delicious. We had started with oysters, followed by fried clams and the halibut. All was absolutely excellent. We will certainly return and highly recommend.

Little Whale is an excellent choice for fish in the Back Bay. The oyster selection was diverse, and all were fresh and tasty. The food was prepared well with just the right amount of flavors. The service was particularly impressive. We felt cared for from the moment we arrived, to the serving of the food, to the warm good night.

I’m in Boston for the Seafood Expo and was excited to try Little Whale. I loved the look of the restaurant and was wanting to eat at the bar which was open for me. I had the salmon tostada which was delicious. Crispy flavorful shell with rich salmon, avocado, spicy mayo, and cilantro. My reason for going to Little Whale was the Lobster Roll and it didn’t disappoint! Tender lobster - claws, tails, and knuckles - warmed in butter served in a split top brioche bun. The French fries were addictive - thin & crispy!!! The service was attentive and friendly plus the vibe in the place was energetic & loose but professional. It’s a must try if you’re in the area!
