   This restaurant was a local favorite called Sweeney’s. It has been revamped into an Italian Mediterranean Coastal paradise. (aka Capri)I love the new decor, it’s so lively and colorful. I had a fantastic beet salad with a perfectly cooked chicken breast and a really good Espresso Martini. The service was excellent and the ambiance was really pleasant. Will definitely visit again.

   A beautiful Spring evening in Brentwood, and everyone came out for dinner. Though Locanda Capri was fuller than I had ever seen, our table was ready and waiting. The staff was all in hustle mode. At first glance I thought maybe this was not a good choice. Locanda Capri is a newer restaurant and I had concern whether or not they were staffed up and capable of such a crowd. To my delight, they were totally up to the challenge. The wait staff was prompt and attentive. We did not wait long for our food to arrive, and it was EXCELLENT. Our waiter asked me about our special engagement the I had put on the reservation. They brought out my brother's dessert with a candle and sang a short Happy Birthday song. Did I mention the food was excellent? Other than a high noise level in the front dining room, I would say this was my best dining experience in Brentwood in years. Outdoor seating may have been less noise.

   We went for the first time on a quiet Sunday dusk evening and had the most amazing meal. Excellent service and eating in the patio during golden hour on a quieter night is not to be missed. Food was interesting takes such as chimichurri prawns. Great sauce. Excellent lobster ravioli and amazing blackened salmon.

   I recently dined at Locanda Capri, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. After ordering salads to start, we were left waiting for a long time with no follow-up from our server. Despite the restaurant not being overly busy, no one came to take our dinner order, and we were left feeling ignored. The salads were fine, but the lack of attention and service completely overshadowed the meal. It’s unfortunate because the atmosphere and the initial impression were promising, but poor service really affected our overall experience. Wouldn’t return for a proper meal unless they address their customer service.

   As with all Locandas, the food was not just excellently prepared but presented with a graceful touch. The service was friendly too. I can see how the patio might be noisy if there's an evening crowd and I thought placing all the two-tops along the walkway wasn't great (most two-top diners are actually trying to have a real conversation.) But we asked to move to a quieter spot and they were very accommodating. It was really a lovely spot to have a long lunch with an old friend.

   My third visit to Locanda Capri and it was enjoyable. Service, ambience were great. Food continues to be somewhat underwhelming for the price point. This comment relates to the mains, jmo but somehow the dishes lack brightness. Drinks and desserts were fabulous.

   Amazing service, fantastic and yummy food, surprised me with a birthday song in Italian and a free ice cream!!! Only thing negative was the noise level in the inside part of the restaurant, it was a Friday so it was busy but it was very loud and hard to hear the people around you!! Overall I’d recommend this place 100% and I plan to have dinner here again soon!

   Great food Just too expensive If they can find some way to adjust their prices, I might go there more often based on last night two of us eating a couple drinks and a couple small entrées it was over $140. I just can’t do that but their food is high-quality.

   Customer service : 3 - not very attentive Food : 3 - lobster and linguine special - mid. not enough meat. I’d suggest adding shrimp to the pasta. I was still hungry even after desert. Also had to add salt as there wasn’t any type of spice in the dish. The lobster was delicious just wish there was more. I also had to use my teeth to crack the claw of the lobster. Hand towels and crab crackers would be great. Short Ribs and polenta - 3 - short ribs were super tender but lacked seasoning. The polenta was very thick. This was my second time having it but my first experience the polenta was creamy. Bevs : 3 - Espresso Martini - very bitter and strong vodka taste. It was different from what I’m used to but not bad. I can’t remember the name of the other drink but it was a lemon/raspberry type of drink. It was good. -4 Desert : 100 - lemon cello cake ! Delicious !!!! Lemon Cello shots : ( free for my birthday ) tasted like a lemon head candy. Overall , I’d definitely go again.

    Our waiter was really great, I wish I could remember his name but he had an Italian accent. He was very attentive and did a great job. We also enjoyed the specialty drinks. Our dinners were good, not great. I had the short rib but it was not cooked enough so a little tough and fat not fully rendered. The polenta was good. Also thought the crème brûlée was good but the tiramisu had no flavor at all which was disappointing. Overall, cute place and would try again.
