This place does not know how to take care of customers. First, we got there to a completely empty restaurant and they gave us a tiny table stuck in a corner and even when we left the restaurant was mostly empty. Second, when reading the specials the waitress apparently told us that there was no lobster tonight, which I actually don’t even remember her saying but it’s possible, but then went on to recommend a special the Paella which had lobster tail as the key item of the dish, in addition to clams, mussels, shrimp and sausage, for $35. She twice told us the dish was really good when we asked her, but didn’t remind us that it wouldn’t include lobster tonight when my husband ordered it. Needless to say it was very disappointing to receive it with no lobster and when he asked where the lobster was she said I told you we were out tonight. they claim to have added a few extra clams but there were hardly any and she still charged the full price of $35 for the dish when it was a small portion of seafood and it should never have been more than $25 without the lobster tail. To compare the prices, and to be fair, my sesame tuna was very good and a very large portion, for $30. I had about twice as much food as my husband. The oysters were very good and fresh, but the fried calamari was too well done and over fried. The dessert of homemade peanut butter pie was just a big block of very hard frozen peanut butter ice cream, not a good value for $11. Would not recommend and would not go back.

This is my second time dining at Long Island Cafe and the customer service and the food hasn’t disappointed me yet. Aaron our waiter was a jewel. Very attentive and Pleasant. LIC is a hidden jewel that all should be noticed .

Lynn was a wonderful server, and all the dishes were delicious! The sweet potato fries were especially delectable. We ordered a mud pie for the table and had to order a second one because it was so good. Highly recommend!

Outstanding food. Yummy cheese grits. Caesar salad had too many croutons and was prepared ahead but was quite yummy. Would recommend far fewer croutons ! I added the fried scallops.

Our meals were very tasty. The group had crab cakes, flounder & a pasta special. All were excellent. Our waiter, Reed was very helpful with offering suggestions & descriptions of the menu items.

Two of our three fish dishes were very overcooked (in spite of asking for medium to medium rare). Waiter immediately comped these dishes. We have been at this restaurant many times and were disappointed with the food but respect that they took ownership for the result.
