This is actually a pretty good restaurant - a lovely room, good food and decent service. Just save it for a less busy evening. We made the decision to go on a peak Holiday Lights evening which took everything down a notch or two. I recommend it but at a time when it’s not overrun with tourists, children and a weary waitstaff as a result.

The restaurant is nice inside and the service was good the food however not great at all. Maybe it was what we ordered and just an off night. But I would not eat here again.

The chef and manager were extremely inviting and sweet and helped us find a table despite coming earlier than expected with our reservation. The food is gourmet and phenomenal, prices are fair and worth it. The duck confit was great! The ambience was great, and I just wish we could just go to the restaurant without the need to have garden tickets, but oh well! Amazing restaurant!

Waiter forgot one entree which we had asked for the status on several occasions. Overall poor quality and very disappointing experience.

My son and I have dinner every year when we see the lights. This year the service was lacking. Our server was very nice but not attentive, not sure if she had too many tables. Had to ask 2 other people for items. This was frustrating and detracted from our enjoyment.

Food continues to improve, Dover sole entree and oyster app were outstanding. Very busy night with sold out Holiday Lights but staff handled crowds well. Longleaf is a great asset to the Garden!

Menu options were limited. Need a few more casual dining options. Tries to be high end but the food isn’t quite up to it taste wise. We had two separate reservations and asked if we could be seated together. There were quite a few empty tables but no effort was made to seat us together. The host was actually very rude, first telling me that we couldn’t be seated together in about as a disgusting way as he could. I understand that it’s very busy and we couldn’t be accommodated. But politely telling me you can’t do it is fine instead of being a jerk. Meanwhile the whole time we dined the table next to us was empty. So I guess his point was made. Won’t be back.

This evening we had the Portobello Tartare to start, and Beef Bourguignon as our entree. This was possibly the best beef I've ever had, and I am a complete food snob. It was so tender you could have cut it with a spoon. It melted in our mouths! The food was exceptional, the servers were attentive but not intrusive. The ambience was on the loud side, but understandable at a festive family-friendly event. I've eaten here many times, and I've never had a bad bite, but tonight was superlative!

Super loud. Service slow. Food not good. Salad was so big it was spilling off plate . Real hard to eat. I wanted dressing on the side but they didn’t bring it until I asked halfway through because waitress never came to check on us. I had to ask another waitress . Chicken dry with no taste. Disappointing meal. Won’t eat there again .
