With a contemporary, modern Australian menu highlighting the finest locally sourced ingredients and complemented by impeccable service, the Lyrebird is the perfect place to start your evening at QPAC. Delve into a special menu highlight showcasing the rich flavours of Italy with a selection of signature pasta dishes, curated by our Michelin-trained head chef, Salvatore Rizzato, from Rome, Italy. This unique collaboration skillfully blends tastes from his homeland with a Queensland inspired twist, expertly prepared by our passionate chefs at Lyrebird under his guidance.

For matinee goers, you can enjoy a delicious touch of elegance with a handcrafted Lyrebird High Tea, before your show. $25 per person or $30 per person including a glass of bubbles. Available only for select matinee shows.

Lyrebird is the perfect place to complement your QPAC experience. It takes the stress out of arriving late, whilst relaxing with a glass of bubbles and delicious high tea. The food, ambience and staff are all exceptional. You never feel rushed and can arrive stress free ready for the ballet/concert/show next door. We always book here beforehand and look forward to continuing our tradition.

I love Lyrebird ambience and last night ‘s service was excellent . However , the Italian menu is not matched with good , authentic Italian cooking . Why use matured cheese when you could be using parmigiano reggiano? Cooking just not up to standard for an upmarket eatery .

From the online booking process, to the beautiful greeting on our arrival to the restaurant, to the prompt service, the food quality and friendly service, it all made this pre show High Tea experience one of the most enjoyable dining out adventures I’ve had in a very long time. Thank you kindly to all the staff at The Lyrebird Restaurant at QPAC. You are exceptional!

Service is always professional & prompt. Glass of Bird in Hand & oysters to share as a starter were excellent. Sadly the set menu special is no longer available, so it was not such good value.
