   I had very high hopes for this restaurant and it disappointed in every fashion. Nothing we ate was anything I would write home about. The price felt very high for what you were getting. The meat skewers while tasty, were very small. The dish that ruined everything for me was the Sisig. I ate that every day while in the Philippines and this was inedible. My party of three had 1 bite and couldn’t stomach anymore. The waiter ended up picking up a nearly untouched dish. My one highlight would be the main dish of pork belly, this was very tasty. If you want actual Phillipino food head down to Colfax for something authentic and tasty.

   We were so excited to give Magna Kainan a try as soon as we found it had opened and were NOT disappointed. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, from the fantastic host who seated us to each of our servers who seemed passionate about the food. All of our dishes were incredible, however I highly recommend the Kare-Kare and Pancit Bihon. 10/10 recommend!

   We knew the food would be good, and it exceeded our expectations! It was one of the best meals we've had this year. We are very impressed with their interpretation of traditional Filipino cuisine.

   Highly recommend! All of the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly- they went above and beyond. The oysters were our favorite!

   For the price they are charging and the food they are serving, it’s not worth it. I recommend going to Paborito if you’re craving some Filipino food. Our sisig was not crispy and had some sauce after mixing it, it was not even close to being good. The lumpia filling was falling out the wrapper. The bagoong rice does not even taste like bagoong. The pork skewer was good but 1 skewer for $9? You can live without it. The chicken inasal was not even inasal, it was just regular grilled chicken. We had their drinks, that’s probably the only thing I liked about the place. We ordered 2 drinks, 5 dishes and our total came up to $149. They were charging automatic 20% your tab, but the food was not worth it at all.
