We went to celebrate my birthday at Maie Day and it was a great experience! It was our first time there. It was slow but everyone made us feel welcome. Our server was outstanding. She was warm and made great recommendations. Our cocktails were great, as were the potato rolls and crab claws. I wanted to order a dozen rolls and take them home. We shared the ribeye and it was perfect and flavorful. The Mac and cheese was heavenly and I really loved the creamed kale. We got the chocolate cake and it was great. I can’t wait to come back!

Decided to give it a try after an advertisement for their Friday rib special came through my algorithm. Very solid deal. I will be returning soon!

My wife and I had a truly amazing meal and will be back. We didn’t love the steak but it wasn’t bad either. All other food was a 10/10 you should eat here.

I was expecting this place to be a lot better. The food was okay. The service was weird. The server came to the table soooo many times yet still managed to miss the main meat dish when taking our order. They were out of 2/3 of their non alcoholic options, it took my boyfriend nearly 40 minutes to get essentially ginger ale with rosemary in it. The server didn’t properly describe the portion sizes and we ordered way too much food because of that. The tables are way too small. Not comfortable at all for a group sharing dishes. The lighting (after dark) is very poor. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant when Austin has so many options. Felt kinda ripped off with the price too.

Hello Baylee, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience fell short of expectations. It’s disappointing to learn about the issues with service, portion descriptions, and the delays with your drink—these are not the standards we strive for. We also understand how important comfort and ambiance are, and we’ll take your comments about table sizes and lighting into consideration. Your feedback is incredibly valuable as we work to improve every guest’s experience. While we’re sorry this visit didn’t meet your expectations, we do hope you might give us another chance in the future to show you a better side of what we can offer. Regards, Chakkra Rath - General Manager

Went for brunch, ordered pancakes and the prime rib hash…both were delicious, the hash was a good portion! Service was also very nice and helpful, we sat outside and it was very comfortable and not too loud!

Maie Day 8:30 pm Saturday 11/16/2024 Patio seating is all high top, so choose indoor dining if you have back issues. Patio seating was also super loud due to a party in the adjacent hotel meeting room - I mean SUPER loud. (Grateful the accommodating hostess was able to move us inside.) Skip the Bloomed Onion - not amazing and takes up tummy space you will need for other deliciousness. Crab claws get three yums. Don’t worry about them being messy - easiest way to eat buttery crab ever. So smart they come with bread - perfect vehicle for the extra sauce. Grilled oysters also get three yums. Wish I had skipped the bloomed onion and had another oyster. Ribeye is cooked perfectly and extra juicy, but expect it to be extra salty. Three yums. Mashed potatoes are typical but also on the salty side. Left me longing for East Side Cafe garlic mashed potatoes (oh how I miss East Side Cafe!). (Hint hint, nudge nudge.) Caramel cheesecake is four yums. Would be an *out-of-the-park five yums* if the toffee pecans were roasted. (Why were those raw?) Chocolate cake is meh. The cake is plain - doesn’t even taste like chocolate. (Frosting is yummy but the overall experience is like having frosting on bread because the cake is so plain.) (Sorry, pastry chef.) “Pecan Espresso Martini” - Overpowered by something (Licor 43? Cazcabel coffee liqueur? Bitters?). If you like sweet espresso martinis, this one is *not* for you. If you like smoky drinks and need a pick-me-up, go for it. “Red Your Mind” - Companion reports, “It grew on me, but I would try something different next time.” Böen Chardonnay was solid. Companion reports same for Argyle Pinot Noir No decaf available for my late-night dessert, and no Bailey’s. (Irish sad face.) Server Joshua was stellar! Just the right amount of attentive and treated us likelike life-long friends. Hostess was super accommodating. Complimentary valet. Overall - 4 yums, mostly thanks to the people. Congratulations on your Michelin status!

Great location and ambiance. Our server seemed quite overwhelmed but tried to keep it together as best he could. The kitchen ran out of hot sauce and mustard during Saturday brunch despite the place not being crazy busy, which was quite surprising. Regardless, the drinks were very good and the food was presented well and tasty. Don’t think I would go back for brunch but would consider grabbing dinner if the place is better prepared.

First experience with Maie Day. We were greeted and seated right away by a friendly hostess. The atmosphere was lively, casual nice and cozy. Cocktails were beautiful and delicious (Thyme After Thyme, Old Fashioned, Eternal Sunshine). Grilled oyster appetizer was scrumptious. Husband and I split the ribeye with french fries and mac & cheese sides. Since it was our anniversary our server offered a complimentary desert. We were treated to a decadent apple cheesecake that was out of this world. So yes it was a wonderful time. We will return with friends soon. Ps: loved the playlist
