   Let me start by saying I’m a loyal Malone’s customer and it’s ALWAYS our choice in Lexington- we’ve been I’m sure nearly 100 times. I’m also not one to be unreasonable at a restaurant, as I know food service is hard work and some are impossible to please! However, we dined at Malone’s Hamburg last night to celebrate two friends’ engagement and it was very disappointing. I will start by saying there was a miscommunication from the kitchen about being out of what I ordered - but he and the manager apologized profusely and comped my meal - which I VERY MUCH appreciated and don’t expect anything more than that. Simple mistakes happen and This review has nothing to do with that incident! However there were many other things that led to an overall disappointing experience, especially when celebrating an engagement. One of my friends wouldn’t ever dream of complaining in a restaurant no matter what, and wouldn’t let me say anything for her, but her sirloin was inedible. She can’t eat anything less than medium and what she received was a rare steak. (Way too tall - impossible to cook correctly in the center) so her entire steak was literally wasted. The blue crab linguini was extremely fishy for a nicer restaurant, the Mac and cheese had no flavor whatsoever, (think “milk sauce”) and the waiter’s assistant was CONSTANTLY trying to remove things from our table, (which can be a nice gesture to create space but it was really excessive) I realize sometimes there is just an off night, and these things could be expected at a cheap chain steakhouse, but when you choose to celebrate at a place like Malone’s it’s disappointing when seemingly nothing goes right. After countless trips to each of the 3 Lexington locations, it will be quite a while before we return. Next time we will most likely opt for Carson’s or even Tony’s downtown.

   Our waitress Lisa B was top notch and made our visit magnificent. The food was perfect and exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Malone’s - Hamburg

   We were seated 15 minutes prior to our reservation. The service and food were excellent. Kip is the best ever!

   This definitely wasn’t our best experience at Malone’s unfortunately. With my partner being a first responder we had to do our Valentines Day date a day late and we felt rushed, not listened to and just overall it was a very “meh” experience. My partner enjoyed her sushi rolls but my twin filets were lacking flavor and had more fat on them than meat it seemed like. It tasted like the steak had no seasoning, which is not the norm and while the steak was cooked perfectly to my liking there was so much fat that I didn’t even eat one of the full filets. Our server also seemed very distracted, never offered refills and at the end we planned on getting a dessert but the bill was dropped off on the table without so much as a word. We were disappointed nonetheless.

   For it to be our first time here & on Valentine’s Day, we expected it to be quite a wait but we got seated as we entered & ate well within an hour. Our server Ellie P, & the person coming around to pick up plates & refill our water was phenomenal. Very attentive & made sure our experience was great . The food was delicious! We definitely will return to try more dishes. . 10/10 recommend!

   Enjoyed a wonderful Valentine’s Day/birthday dinner. If you have the option to have Kyle as your server, I highly recommend! He was very attentive, knowledgeable, and overall very kind. Thank you for being a part of our wonderful experience!

    The TV’s on the wall are distracting. They’re great for Harry’s, but not for Malone’s.
