Our Saturday dinner at Mano Libera was much more than just sharing a meal; it was about sharing our hearts and stories. As Italians, our roots run deep, shaping our identity and where we come from. Having journeyed through Venezuela and now building our lives in the U.S., a part of us always longs to reconnect with the essence of our heritage. Mano Libera is a rare place where this connection feels effortless. Nostalgia, passion, and authenticity converge beautifully there. The evening was made even more meaningful with the presence of our dear friends from home, Carlos and Stefania Sernaglia. Together, we reminisced about the different paths life has taken us on, finding joy in the shared memories of our heritage and the stories that bind us. The masterful cooking of Marco, "si, le Mani di Marco", in the kitchen, along with Maurizio's warm and gracious presence—whom I may have first met in 1991—made it feel as though a piece of Italy came alive in that room. The flavors, atmosphere, and energy of the evening celebrated everything we hold dear. Mano Libera isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a bridge between our past and present, reminding us of the beauty of our roots while celebrating the journey that has brought us here. If you’re looking for more than just a meal—if you seek a space to feel connected and to be transported through the magic of food and culture—Mano Libera is the perfect haven. Bravo to everyone who makes this extraordinary experience possible. 🌹

We used to go to Mosaico quite often and were sad to see it close, however we were waiting for Mano Libera to open, and we were not disappointed! The bar is now smaller, but a little larger seating space, especially a round table for a larger group. Started with the Ragu Napolitano and the Octopus-- Excellent! Next, we shared the Tagliolini al Tartufo Nero, another winner and truthfully by then we were full. Service was excellent, they gave us time between servings, which allowed us to enjoy our servings. We both had the Filetto de Manzo with wine sauce, the steaks were perfectly cooked. Had a nice Barolo, however not full bodied, next time we will decide on the entree before choosing the wine. For dessert we had the Baby Gelato (homemade) . This time it happened to be Pistachio, wonderful Chef Marco hails from Doma, which we like a lot, saw some items on the menu that looked familiar, we will be sampling in future visits.

Amazing food at Mano Libera! I went with my family and we all did the "Mano Libera" (kind of Omakase) menu. We tried many dishes, all outstanding. Probably the best (for me) was the gnocchi with ragu' alla Genovese, really tasty. The location is very nice, not too large. The service amazing. The chef is Italian like most of the people that work there. Very recommended. Probably the best Italian restaurant south from downtown.
