Sungchul Shim, chef and owner of the Michelin star restaurant Kochi opens his second Michelin star restaurant Mari in Hell's Kitchen. At Mari (roll in Korean), Sung offers a tasting menu of street-food inspired Korean hand rolls, complemented by an extensive wine list and a selection of Korean spirits like soju and chungju.

Mari is offering a $145 per person seasonal tasting menu (along with a beverage pairing for $110) that explores the many facets of Korean cuisine through small plates and inventive hand rolls.

Due to the nature of our tasting menu, we are unable to accommodate vegetarian/vegan diets, gluten-free diets (if soy is not okay to consume), rice-free diets, allergies to fish, allium, sesame seeds/oil, and aversion to raw seafood. If you have any questions regarding food restrictions, please contact us before making a reservation.

    Service was perfect. Out of the twelve course menu two of them were exceptional that's why I did gave four stars out of 5 . Egg and Caviar & Spicy Tuna have ben Heavenly. All prepared to perfection as expected at this level. Prices were in line. But Service , Ambiance were EXCEPTIONAL. All in ALL before the night in Broadway its a great opportunity.

    Fantastic comprehensive tasting menu with Korean inspired dishes and hand rolls utilizing top quality fresh, seasonal and authentic ingredients with an inspired wine pairing, all presented by a friendly, professional and efficient staff. Will be back!

    The service lady became nearly angry after I tipped „only“ 15% Made 2 mistakes and nearly charged 2 espressi which never arrived all in all good experience with sn poor ending

    Simply stunning, truly amazing food, a full on taste sensation and great service as well. We went for a special occasion and this definitely fitted the bill. Highly recommended.

    Wonderful meal all around,I was seated at 5pm. I needed to go see a show and they kindly accomodated them. Juan my server the MVP who patiently retold me the components of each dish (the menu doesn't tell you everything). I know folks are busy and I don't type fast enough so thank you. I got great suggestions when I asked and the person who explaimed the drink list was very knowledgeable. Everyone was professional and knew alot about what they were serving. Everything from not your typical steamed egg -Egg & Caviar great maris (Korean for "rolls")-- galbi, mushroom (4 kinds), spicy tuna etc were fantastic. I loved flavorful and inventive dishes, value & grateful that I also made it to my show on time too.

    I booked this reservation for 6pm ahead of a 8pm show and it ended up being a very tight window to get to the venue. We put the staff in an uncomfortable spot and didn’t get to finish the full tasting. Through out the experience both our waitress and and the GM were extremely kind and helpful about trying to accommodate us. They were realistic and firm about what was possible and I very much appreciated that. I truly felt bad not being able to finish the last few courses. This was my 3rd time here and I thoroughly enjoy the food which is both a creative and fun experience. If I could give it 6 out of 5 stars I would. I will definitely be trying to come back sooner rather than later.
