Sungchul Shim, chef and owner of the Michelin star restaurant Kochi opens his second Michelin star restaurant Mari in Hell's Kitchen. At Mari (roll in Korean), Sung offers a tasting menu of street-food inspired Korean hand rolls, complemented by an extensive wine list and a selection of Korean spirits like soju and chungju.

Mari is offering a $145 per person seasonal tasting menu (along with a beverage pairing for $110) that explores the many facets of Korean cuisine through small plates and inventive hand rolls.

Due to the nature of our tasting menu, we are unable to accommodate vegetarian/vegan diets, gluten-free diets (if soy is not okay to consume), rice-free diets, allergies to fish, allium, sesame seeds/oil, and aversion to raw seafood. If you have any questions regarding food restrictions, please contact us before making a reservation.

    A solid dining experience with a good variety of dishes. About half were excellent, while the other half were just okay. Service was generally good but not quite Michelin star level. Upon arrival, there was no host, and we waited 10 minutes past our reservation before being seated. However, once at the table, the service was top notch. Overall, a mixed but enjoyable experience.

    We have always enjoyed our meals at Mari, but the New Year's Eve special menu was beyond outstanding, a superlative experience in every way. The food was elevated, creative and full of complex flavors and contrasts. The staff were lovely and the Chef was warm and welcoming. We would recommend this special place to anybody who loves fine food and a warm ambiance. Five stars all the way.

    Service was perfect. Out of the twelve course menu two of them were exceptional that's why I did gave four stars out of 5 . Egg and Caviar & Spicy Tuna have ben Heavenly. All prepared to perfection as expected at this level. Prices were in line. But Service , Ambiance were EXCEPTIONAL. All in ALL before the night in Broadway its a great opportunity.

    Fantastic comprehensive tasting menu with Korean inspired dishes and hand rolls utilizing top quality fresh, seasonal and authentic ingredients with an inspired wine pairing, all presented by a friendly, professional and efficient staff. Will be back!

    The service lady became nearly angry after I tipped „only“ 15% Made 2 mistakes and nearly charged 2 espressi which never arrived all in all good experience with sn poor ending

    Simply stunning, truly amazing food, a full on taste sensation and great service as well. We went for a special occasion and this definitely fitted the bill. Highly recommended.
