   Good value for money food was good chips could have been better but over all it was enjoyable and would go again. Seeing it was the Begonia Festival time was able to book a table and a good mix of young and old. Dining area needs to be booked early but plenty of room in bistro and they have area for private functions as well as outdoor area for children and beer garden.

   The service was below standard. The steak was small and overcooked, asked for it to be medium rare and it came out normal to well done. The spaghetti carbonara was okay but not great.

   Don’t order burgers, they use mighty soft rolls that taste like plastic. Mashed potatoes tasted like dehydrated packet potatoe. Way too expensive for what they are serving. Wouldn’t have paid half of what we had to. Staff didn’t know much about food when asked questions. Just guessed and didn’t want to go back to the kitchen to confirm.

   Good choice of food for all budgets. Ate in dining room to enjoy full service. Highly recommend.

   Very limited menu. No lamb even though it had a farm theme. If there were daily specials there was no info on them. I ordered chicken parma as a 'safe' option and it was terrible. A handful of cold chips and the parma was cold, the cheese was only just melted and the toppings cold. The only hot thing on the plate was the mixed veges which was beans and broccoli and that's it. My husband's steak was OK but same sides and $3 extra for a sauce is a bit rough. My son enjoyed his butter chicken but it was quite hot. The sticky date pudding was nice but a bit more than a spoonful of ice cream would be better. The bistro was noisy and every time a chair moved it vibrated through the floor. Obviously a lot of money has been spent on renovations but corners are being cut in the kitchen. Sorry but it was the worst pub meal I've had since I went somewhere the chef had walked out.

   Walked in after hearing about the new hype of the business and food. Booked for Valentine's Day dinner with my partner, walked in to see the newly refurbished pub and felt like we were in for a very anticipated treat. Service at the bar was great, friendly staff. Sat at our table and looked upon the menu with high expectations! Ordered our food at table B9. My partner whom was very excited ordered the "spicy" butter chicken. This came out prior to the entrees and was stone cold, and had little to no heat at all, rice undercooked. Disappointing to say the least. Then came out the aranchini balls which were burnt. Followed by my fish and chips, good looking plate as it came toward the table. Although What a let down.. chips so hard that I could barely eat them - well over cooked. Cut into my fish and had a pool of oil soak my plate at least half a cup worth of fryer oil seeping out. Soggy and not enjoyable, no salad dressing and not even 2 bites into the meal and could eat no more. Then 10 minutes later the chicken bites came out and also soggy and covered with way too much sauce to even try taste the chicken. Called over a staff member, and even he was dumbfounded by the amount of oil from my fish, left in my plate. Although he wasn't shocked at the reviews of the other menu items on our table, was almost like he knew what we were going to say... $96.80 for 2 starters and 2 mains, not a single one was remotely enjoyable. Absolute let down! Thinking we would be offered a refund or at the VERY least have our meals remade with fresh ones, the young man said "sorry about that, are you sticking around for drinks afterwards" and walked away. Absolutely appalling!! I will never dine in at this establishment again, for the life of me I would never recommend the market hotel to any friends or family, and I wouldn't even consider my worst enemy to share the load in our experience last night. Not good enough guys, I want my money back. Disgusting!!

    Beer garden has great vibes, the food is great and the staff are amazing. A huge sandpit out the back for kids and the renno on the inside is great too.
