   Had our usual, ribeye and porterhouse. It’s always good with plenty to take home. Place crowded on weekends and only had bar seating available even a week in advance.

   Mike the manager and the female manager I can’t remember her name, but they always make me and my family feel so welcomed! And our waitress Britney! She’s the best!!!!! Can’t wait to go back again!

   I told you about an incident at the restaurant on November 23, 2024 when my purse was stolen from the back of my bar stool. You wrote to me saying you would contact me for more information but you never did. I want to file a formal police complaint. Your cameras in the restaurant could identify the thief. Tonight while I was dining the assistant manager was looking under a table while the dining patrons were using the restrooms. It was a table of 4 diners. Something criminal is going on in your restaurant. Why would the assistant manager be looking under the tablecloth of the table across from us. My 2 other friends also saw this, Dr. Joel and Linda Corwin. They paid for the dinner but the reservation was under my name Stanley Saltzman November 5 at 6:30. (805) 750-1696

   Mastros is an extremely nice upscale restaurant. We save it for special occasions.

   The high level expectation was not met. We had to wait a long time for the second course and the waiters didn’t even bother to offer fresh pepper for the filet. We had to get up to ask for it ourselves. The two filet were ordered same size cooked same way but the height width and length of one was almost double. The attention came back when the check was delivered. They apologized for the delay for second course stating the restaurant was very busy. We had arrived early and there weren’t many people at that time. Overall overrated. Lastly beware of parking. We were ambushed after self parking that we had to pay as we were leaving. The “not so” friendly host said otherwise street parking. While I walked on crutches to my car after a recent injury that came right on time to finish the evening.

   Great ambiance, service and food. Went a little earlier to have a drink in the bar but standing room only. Had my 2 teens with me and we stood the whole time until my table was ready.

   This was one of the best Mastro's experiences we've had. Not that we have had bad experiences, but some have been better than others. Steaks and accompaniments were done nicely and drinks terrific. I should have asked for the smaller side room. It was loud where we were at. That's my bad, and I'll know for next time.

   We asked for no parsley on the salad it came with parsley We asked that the ice cream be on a separate plate it came on top of the butter cake

    Simply the best food I’ve had at any restaurant—and I do not say that lightly. True, A5 Wagu steak is simply to die for. The sushi dishes are fantastic; the sides are to die for and the desserts are spectacular. Wait staff are top notch and always treat you like royalty.
