   Let me start by saying I have always been a big fan of this restaurant & their 3 course meal special. That said, it was very cold in the room we were in. Nothing could be done. 3 course Dinner special must have recently been increased by $5. Was not aware. Now there is an extra $5 up charge for shrimp Wendy, which I do not believe there was. All 4 of us ordered that meal & felt that the amount of shrimp has been reduced as well. Sorry, but did not like the new surprises.

   Had a lovely birthday dinner for wife's birthday with my three sisters and one's hubby. Nice quiet corner table. Food was excellent; very generous portions. A few had the eggplant parm. Service was very good as well. Just an FYI, the prix fixe has increased to $44.95.

   The food came out wrong when we went over the order four times . The bread is cold and stale and tasteless , the people clearing the table spilled food in to the lap of one person at our table and you had to scream to talk to each other at the table. The staff seems to be all new and hired the same day and have no idea how to be a waiter or buser. The coffee was wrong too . I can’t believe they are still in business. Awful experience and will never Go back .

   We ordered the Price Fixe and it was so generous and delicious. It came with a glass of wine which was a generous pour. Our waitress was wonderful. She checked on us several times and the Manager came over as well. We will definitely be back.

   Food used to be good there. I ordered the short rib tortellini. Priced at around $30. It was a large plate with 6 pieces of tortellini in the middle of it. My wife got the cacio de Pepe. The pasta was like glue and there was no pepper in it. Also, the place was so loud we couldn’t hear each other across the table. Very disappointing. $100 billion and left hungry.

    I went to Mattero's in Huntington last night and was very disappointed. Watch out for the scam. Check your receipt and food carefully. First I ordered chicken cutlet parmesan with ziti pasta from the pre-fixe menu, which normally comes with wine. They gave me veal parmesan with linguine. Then the bill came and we were charged $6.00 extra for the wine and an extra $16.00 for two-second glasses of wine, which we never had. Spoke to the manager and he cxld the second glass but he said because it's restaurant week, now charges $3.00 extra for the wine as opposed to all summer it was free with the prix fixe menu. It's a shame a restaurant chain that is tied into Rothmann's establishment nickel and dimed their customers.
