This was Christmas Day dinner. We have gone for over 15 years. There are usually more options for vegetarians than this year. In fact, last year they had a complete vegetarian plate with a meat alternative as an option for turkey. No vegetarian soup offered, or small plates of veggies as in the past. There was only one veggie entree which neither of us liked. We had to order veggie burgers from the bar, which we knew from a previous visit in the summer. Next year probably will go somewhere else. Service was good though.

Our first time doing Christmas dinner at the Black Rabbit. Wonderful service and nice options for food, both brunch and holiday dinner.

I would recommend dinner here almost any time but Christmas Eve. It’s packed and chaotic, they are understaffed, and they don’t have a system down to smoothly serve guests in a timely manner. We waited over minutes for water (you know, the water they usually serve when you sit down) and an hour and a half for our entrees. This is with a reservation. Food is delicious, fun ambience, they really try but they need to streamline their holiday game and make it easier on the kitchen. Try prepaid reservations with a limited menu for holidays! 90 to 100 bucks a head, a starter, a salad, an entree, dessert sampler. Tip prepaid and just charging for beverages at the time of service. It’ll solve a lot of the stress your servers were feeling which they passed on to diners.

Great food. Atmosphere comfortable and fairly quite for good conversation. Our table was located in an odd entrance door coming from the hotel right through the side of the dining room. A partition would make it feel less like a hallway and more like a dining area. Would be fine for bar but not a dinner. Service was good, but servers need backup staff to help with beverage backup and the little things. A bit of fine tuning is needed. All in all, we are McMennamin fans.

Christmas Eve dinner was a meal we won’t forget. We all ordered different things, and every part was delicious! Our server Mckenna was super sweet and added to our positive experience.

Food was average at best. We dined on Christmas Eve came in early enough to where it wasn’t too busy. Food was rushed out while we were still eating salad and waiting for drinks yet it was cold. Prime rib was very good. Ham dinner was dry, pasta had zero flavor

I've eaten at The Black Rabbit many times over many years and it has been consistently very good. However, today we experienced slow service and our food was not hot when served. We asked for a straw for drinks several times but that never was provided, even on refills of drinks. First time that our experience was lackluster.

Unfortunately, the restaurant was very busy, our server wasn’t very attentive, seemed distracted and over whelmed….. he even said that. Some of the meals were not very warm.
