   For a restaurant taking bookings on Valentine’s Day, they seemed to be rather understaffed and so it took quite some time to get food out to the tables not to mention the special Valentine’s Day menu looked amazing but did not deliver on taste or expectations.

   We waited over an hour for our food both entree and mains came out at the same time. We didn't bother staying for dessert. Food was mediocre. We weren't offered any water and drinks were watered down

   Worst food I’ve ever had. Service was a shambles. Staff were lovely. If you’re thinking of going here there’s a reason it’s always empty. Our food was less than half eaten left hungry.

   It was our first time at Meantime in The Entrance. We had such a great experience in the other branch in Hamilton so we were hoping for the same quality of food. However I was quite disappointed sadly as I was excited for GF food that I don’t get to eat normally. I had battered fish which was so dry inside the batter that the fish was very chewy so I ended up leaving half of the fish uneaten. My husband had lamb salad which he said ok though not substantial for a meal. It was also very quiet compared to the other restaurant in Hamilton. Perhaps they’re not getting enough customers to keep the quality up. But certainly I won’t return.

   Large plate of freshly cooked, good quality food. We were so pleased we could relax & be confident that anything we chose to eat was going to be gf. No fear of cross contamination!! Thank you Meantime 🎉😊

   Our first experience at Meantime was a disaster and I hope , if there's a next time, it improves markedly. Ordering drinks and meal was simple, or so we thought, choice was good and young woman at counter, efficient. Knew it would be busy on NYE so were prepared to wait, but over an hour later, with no food, and other patrons who were seated after us, being served their meals, we queried staff. Our dinner order had not arrived in kitchen, another order was made, and, half an hour after that, still no food, we asked for a refund and, at 9pm, got fish and chips at another shop. Extremely disappointed!

   3rd visit to Meantime,food is good, garlic bread not so much.Meals were a bit rushed which is understandable on New year's eve.Staff were run of their feet,and were extremely helpful.

    When we arrived for the Christmas buffet lunch at the suggested time. We only had left overs to choose from. All the seafood had gone. The lovely wait staff were fabulous and bought out some prawns for us. 9 prawns for a table of 5 really not good value for the $100 per person. Regretfully, we were seated next to people who decided to bring their dogs. If I knew dogs were permitted on the premises I would not have booked.
