Situated in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen in New York City, Medi Wine Bar & Restaurant is an inviting space offering a Pan-Mediterranean cuisine and a wide selection of wines from the region, all combined with unparalleled service. We were seated immediately behind the host stand (despite there being other two tops available) which meant every time the door opened it was freezing. He apologized but still sat us there. Had to eat with my coat one. The waitress was blatantly rude. Our food took almost an hour to come out & my “crispy skin” salmon was nearly raw and most definitely not crispy (I enjoy it rare so that wasn’t the issue). I would have sent it back but when had tickets & were already running late. Sadly, this was not the dining experience I’d hope for (absence certainly wasn’t worth the $150/2people).

The food was bad.. I had steak with potatoes.. potatoes weren't cook enough. It was hard.. steak is dry and nothing special.. portion was too small for the price. My friend had a lamb appetizer.. she was said was okay. But way too small for 22 dollars. It's way too expensive for that small portion. It's like ripping of your customer.

Overall, we had a really lovely night. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was incredible very attentive, very friendly. The only faux pas of the evening was that our table was not ready when we arrived despite having a reservation. We had to wait an additional 30 minutes to be seated, luckily we arrived to our show on time… though we had to leave the restaurant in a rush. The gentleman that seated us who I believe was the restaurant manager, or perhaps even the owner, was extremely kind and comped us a bottle of Prosecco to make up for it. Would definitely recommend trying it out but maybe not with a strict timetable.
