   Food was excellent but the service — what a gong show. Waited 25-30 minutes after being seated with no contact at all from anybody; nothing, zero, zilch, nada, nobody asking to take an order, no idea who was (not) waiting on our table. We had time to discuss should we go talk to the hostess? Go order drinks from the bartender? Walk out? I finally flagged down a waiter from way across the room, who was shocked we hadn’t been helped and admirably jumped in to take our order. Wagyu kabobs, hummus, eggplant, muhammara, flatbreads, shrimp entree, roasted carrots, and NY steak were all VERY good. But all for naught really. Where was management?

   Food was great. The service left a lot to be desired! We arrived for an early reservation on a Saturday night. There was some confusion as to who our server was. Once we got our server we ordered some drinks and appetizers. Half of the drinks arrived and we needed to remind the waiter about the other drink that was ordered. The appetizers came out in a reasonable time. They were delicious. We ordered or main course, the lamb shank, at the same time as everything else and asked our service the pace our meal, small plates first and then the main. We waited almost an hour between our salad and our main meal. Our server needed to be flagged down several times throughout the night for refills on drinks, clearing the table and bringing fresh plates for our entrees. Everyone has a bad day, but this seemed egregious. The couple next to us waited a good 20 minutes for water to be brought to their table. The restaurant became progressively busier throughout the night, but it was almost empty upon our arrival. This was our first time eating at Meso, though we often frequent Santana Row. The food was delicious, but the service all the way around will prohibit us from returning. It’s a shame. Oh and icing on the cake, though we checked in for our reservation on time, we received a ‘no show’ notice from Open Table for our reservation later that same evening. This restaurant has been around too long to have not worked out basic service kinks.

   The food was delicious. We didn’t have the best service this time but the food made up for it . Overall I would say the service has gone downhill from my first visit onward, but again the food is delicious and so is the ambiance

   Went here for my first time for the Thanksgiving dinner and it was amazing! The food came out in a timely manner, the staff was great and it was a very peaceful dinner. I originally had outdoor seating booked but was able to sit inside once I arrived! Highly recommend this place!

   Absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving dinner, four course available for the holiday or the regular menu. This is the third time I’ve eaten there, the food, service, and ambience are exceptional. They also have a heated patio next to a dynamic water element, everywhere you look is visually appealing.

   The atmosphere is contemporary and beautiful, the service was excellent, the Thanksgiving meal had delicious choices for meat, fish, and vegetarian, and was price fixed for appetizers-dessert. Drinks were very good as well. The background music was relaxing. Had a very nice time and will go back again!

    i've had really great lunches at Meso in the past, but last night we went to dinner and it was terrible. we both order the gnocchi which I've enjoyed in the past. Last night it was just mush and cold and falling apart as if it was made hours ago and left sitting in the sauce for a few hours. We ended up just asking for our check and leave to go somewhere else.
