   I had a really disappointing experience at Mexta. I made a reservation two weeks in advance for 3:00 PM because that was the only available time. Three days before, they changed it to 2:45 without asking me—fine, not a big deal. But when we arrived, they told us we had to order by 3:00 because the kitchen was closing. By 3:45, I tried to order another drink, and they said the bar was closed. Then, they told us we had to leave because they were closing to prepare for dinner service. At no point during booking did anyone mention that we’d have a limited time to eat or that they’d be shutting everything down so quickly. When I spoke to the waitress and the manager about feeling rushed, the manager just shrugged and said, “That’s our policy.” No apology, no attempt to make it right. On top of that, the food was mediocre—not worth the hassle. Definitely won’t be coming back

   It was a very average experience. Service wasn’t exceptional for the price point and food is also over priced for what it is.

   Very creative cocktails and menu selections. Seeing a "Lobster Roll" on the menu was unexpected so I gave it a try. It was excellent.

   Went in with reservations after reading some reviews but we had a great experience. The food was delicious. The salmon NOT overcooked like most places. We were celebrating a birthday and they made it extra special. Great vibe. Our waitress was very attentive. Will come back!

   Seeing the servers pull store-bought tostadas out of a bag, put them upright and serve them with both $25 guac. and also the ceviche is not what I expected in a high-end Mexican restaurant. These, and the tortillas, should be freshly made in-house! Ceviche, salsa and shrimp tacos were all good- but nothing worth a return trip. Cocktails were good - but had very little alcohol! Great service and vibe.

   They’re open for lunch and we went for the first time and highly recommend. Lobster bisque feeds two for a starter and they split it for us. The egg dishes are amazing and portions are huge!

    We came here for my birthday dinner and it was probably one of the worst restaurant experiences all seven of us have ever had. Our waitress lacked attention to detail, the wait for our food was ridiculous (2 hrs and no entrees), the drinks were subpar and when we asked to replace one the waitress tried to argue with my friend about the ingredients, the apps we did receive were mediocre at best - but the cherry on top was witnessing the waitstaff put their hands in and play around with the kernel filled bowls which held tostadas for the guac which were reused for all tables. After two hours of waiting for our meals, I approached the hostess stand because we had to leave for a show for which we had tickets. Here, I spoke to the manager who was apologetic and claimed the food was coincidentally now ready and she would comp the entrees. She didn’t bat an eye when I told her the staff was putting their dirty hands in customers’ food, she just had the staff swap them out for tostadas that were not served in the kernels. Soon after, they delivered three of seven outstanding dishes which lacked in flavor, and the chicken was cold. I asked for the bill and those items were included despite being told they’d be comped. At this point we were deeply uncomfortable as our waitress was standing over us waiting to see what we would leave as a tip. We just wanted to leave so we paid and got the hell out of there. Do NOT recommend and to find out Mexta is Michelin recognized was the wildest thing we could’ve imagined.
