We selected this location because a google search listed it as the top breakfast spot in Nashville near Vanderbilt. It was a very nice place with very friendly people and the food with traditional, guess I was just expecting something special to be on the menu that gave it this rating. For a good breakfast at a nice place with nice people.... highly recommend. Best in the area? not sure.

Awesome dinner the veal picatta is my favorite! The Lemon Artichoke soup is the ultimate in comfort food and the chicken croquets make a great dinner. Service is always great.

Good place. Lobster bisque was some of the best I've ever had. Would have licked the bowl of people weren't watching! Great little biscuits! Shrimp and grits was a slight disappointment on the grits side. Lots of shrimp but very minimal quantity of Gouda grits and these were overwhelmed with the amount of red pepper pieces. Some might like this but I would have preferred to taste the cheese grits. Strawberry cake was good but the strawberry flavor came from icing vs the actual cake. We will certainly go back but probably try something else.

As always, food was great and service exceptional. Also really enjoyed large group of friends who were dining together in the back of the dining room and having a wonderful time. The warmth of their friendship spread throughout the restaurant. It’s what Midtown Cafe is all about.
