Mill Street Pub & Kitchen is located in Oakham, voted Best Rural Place to Live and current holder of Britain in Bloom in the County Town of Rutland. Oakham has something for everyone from the Historic Castle built in Norman times, a Heritage Trail, regular Farmers and Local Produce Markets, Upmarket Shopping and not to mention Rutland Water, England’s Largest Reservoir. Didn’t have our booking Lost our order when there were only 5 tables in the restaurant Food was not good when it eventually came They did apologies and take some of the food of the bill Very sad clearly had a bad night

We always enjoy visiting Mill Street, for breakfast, evening drinks, snacks and/or dining! We love the new decor and the new, improved menu. The food is really good. It ismodern, well presented, well prepared and just the right quantity. We were there during the week of their first anniversary and have won a starter and a side for our next visit! A gem in Oakham.

We regularly go to Mill street and have always had a fab time. Good food, lovely staff and such a lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area or just passing its worth it

Probably one of the most disappointing meals we have had out in a long time and very expensive. We had two dirty glasses which when sent back with a full glass of contents was simply replaced for an empty one. The steak was expensive, over cooked and a few sprigs of watercress passed off as salad. We really wanted to like this place as it is nice inside and we like independent places but will avoid in the future.

This was our first time here. The staff were brilliant, all very friendly and extremely helpful. The food was 5 ⭐️. We chose here as we were having a late celebration meal for my daughters birthday. And can say we will definitely be eating here again.

The service was very good and the waiter was pleasant and friendly. It was a little noisy and I'm not sure I would want to eat there when it was approaching full. However, we had an enjoyable and relaxing evening with no pressure to vacate the table. The food was okay but there was a very limited choice of vegetarian food. This was the most disappointing thing about the evening we spent there.
