In 2019, this dream became a reality when we opened Moani Island Bistro and Bar on the west side of O’ahu. With the overwhelming support from our customers, Moani’s success has exceeded our expectations. Our family is thriving, our vision is growing, and Moani is expanding. The food cooled off quickly due to the ceiling fans. The Korean BBQ Ribs were good, the Moani Special Fired Rice was delicious, but the French Fries lacked seasoning. Service was great as well as the ambience. Had the food not cooled so quickly and the fries properly seasoned, then it would have been a significantly better experience.

It took 45 minutes to get our food. The waitress said that they were “swamped”, but I counted at least 6 empty, clean tables around us (ready customers)… they could not have been “swamped”. Also, having the waitress next to you and wait for payment after telling you verbally the bill (not given a writen bill) was extremely uncomfortable.

Comfortable venue at International Market. Food was excellent. Hostess & wait staff were very accommodating and helpful. There were 6 of us and we ordered a lot of the menu. Everything was well done. Menu was a bit limited, but perfect for a light meal. Prices were reasonable for Waikiki. Thanks!

Moani seated our party of 8 short notice after our dinner plans changed! We were able to come in and get seated immediately. The wait staff was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recommendations. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The hoisin pork belly, smoked meat Mac and cheese and Pete’s prawns were favorites amongst our group.

Had a lovely Christmas dinner with family! Will definitely be back throughout the year to try more dishes. Everyone enjoyed the food and our server was the sweetest! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!

It was our first time dining there. The food was served in small portions but it tasted great. We were with a party celebrating a birthday. The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the musician they had tonight was AWFUL. He couldn’t sing and then he literally stopped singing. When we all sang happy birthday we kept looking at him to play his guitar and sing along but he didn’t. Turns out he got kicked out of the restaurant. We saw him stumbling out on the sidewalk. They need to screen their musicians better! Hope this was a one time thing for him or we won’t be back.
