Our décor is warm and modern. The tradition has always been dark wood, leathers and a muted palette for a steakhouse. We broke the mould and decided to add hand-selected music that reflects us! We’re more like Jay Z and less like Sinatra.

We only serve ranch specific Alberta Beef. That means we don’t serve beef from anywhere else on the planet. We know our farmers and ranchers personally and respect the hard work they put in to produce our beef.

We are one of just a handful of steakhouses in Canada that serves, Grass-fed, Grain-fed, Wet-aged, Dry-aged and Wagyu beef 365 days a year. Our beef is always fresh never frozen.

We use a 1800 degree Infrared Grill to cook your steaks. The high heat creates a flavourful crust on the outside of the steak and leaves a juicy centre.

    We had an excellent "Date Night" with friends, and the server was wonderful, attending to us very well. The Date Night steaks and sides with a bottle of wine is an exceptional deal and a fantastic way to enjoy great steaks. We added a couple of very tasty appetizers, seafood rolls, and wagyu dumplings, which completed an amazing night out with friends. Date Night Wednesdays is one of my favorite dinners when we go out. I look forward to enjoying many more fantastic dining experiences at Modern Steak.

    The date night experience is fantastic value. There is lots of flexibility to pick your meal and sides and the wine selection was decent for the price.

    We always enjoy our time at Modern Steak. We love that it’s family friendly at this restaurant. Our boys really enjoyed their flat iron steaks.

    Excellent service! Ordered my steak med & it came too rare for me so it was immediately returned to the kitchen & came out very quickly exactly how I like it! We were there on the date nt special & all the food plus wine was delicious. Our server was very attentive & friendly. A wonderful birthday evening
