My husband and I were celebrating our birthdays. I contacted the owner and asked if we could order Steak Oscar. He said they usually offer that choice on special occasions like New Year's Eve and Valentine’s Day. We have been to Montero's a few times before and knew that we would find something on the menu that we would enjoy. The big night arrived and Mr Montero surprised us by having Steak Oscar available for us. Our dinner was delicious and it was especially nice that he went the extra "mile" to make our request happen!! We will be back!

Out for an early Valentine’s date… Montero’s always offers a pleasant experience. Great food and friendly service, from entering to end of the evening, and usually a visit to your table by Andy or Karin. Thank you for our “special place.”

We always have an excellent experience at Montero's. The owner and his staff are very attentive and the food is consistently well prepared and richly flavored. We tried a couple of new dishes and were not disappointed. If you are in Elizabeth city , NC try this family owned gem!

Now Chris...you should know that the owner is a SHE (Karin). He (Andy) is just the pretty face of the operation....Karin is the real brains (and heart) of the restaurant! lol. And truthfully....none of it would be possible without the really pretty AND smart staff that supports them!
