Named after Morris Sheppard, a U.S. Congressman considered the father of Prohibition in the early 1930s, Morris provides pastel-pretty Wes Anderson inspired surrounds for artisan cocktails with an inviting bar, laid-back seating & a patio. Within it's first year, Morris has established itself as one of the best cocktail programs in the city, and has won multiple "Best Of" awards. The mixologist at Morris is a genius, and I loved the fact that we could tell him our favorite flavor profiles, and he could improvise brilliant cocktails! Egg whites especially appreciated, and did not mind paying the extra dollar. I did wish Morris had a real kitchen, though… Charcuterie plates and sandwiches only go so far, and then you want some hot, cooked tasty snacks to with those great cocktails.

Rita and Rhine are the stars behind the bar and they never fail to shake or stir something up that makes your tastebuds happy. Morris American is a DC staple for cocktails and small bites!

No better place in DC for handcrafted cocktails served by Incredible staff. Accidentally left my phone and when I returned for it, they had it plugged into a charger. Love this place!
