   I have enjoyed plenty of meals at Morton's pre-COVID. Sadly, I decided to visit for my birthday treat, since I had not been in a while. Well, mistake made. Although the food was excellent as it always is, the service was surprisingly disappointing. Honestly, my friend and I thought we were being "punked." Our server looked like he would rather have a root canal than assist us. There was no introduction with his name, no suggestions, nothing. What he did do was ask "are you ready - what do you want?" Huh? Are you serious? With prices as high as $30+ for King Crab Mashed Potatoes, I think anyone would deserve a friendlier dining experience. By comparison, there was a lovely, tall, server who was smiling, serving the booth next to us, whom we wished we had! I informed who I assume was the Manager of our surprise and disappointment and he graciously took $15 off the bill, which I appreciate, but I will rethink coming back, especially for a special evening. I kindly suggest customer service training for your staff. Perhaps he was new and did not know how to approach people. When we decide to spend our very hard-earned dollars out, we have plenty of choices in Chicago, and sadly, Morton's Chicago may have lost a customer.

   We were seated in a more private dining area in the restaurant which was nice until we realized that they had seated a group of men that were behaving badly (loud noise and vulgar language and expressions). The food and service were impeccable- wish we would have asked to be seated elsewhere……

   It was an overall very good experience. They forgot our Cesar salad but the bread was so delicious that we didn’t miss it. We got a free dessert as a result. The food was so delicious 😋

   Despite a great food the costumer service at this place was just horrible. As a client you will have a very unwelcoming experience where they just simply don’t care about costumer needs. The manger on duty was a joke. Will not be back!

    The staff was outstanding, pleasant and genuinely friendly. We ate at the bar had a lovely time with the staff enjoying our foods and refreshing drinks. Would absolutely recommend to any one looking for a nice spot for lunch.
