   We had another fabulous dinner with our neighbors at this very upscale steakhouse. The restaurant looked beautiful as always and we all commented on how the music really complimented our dining experience. The food was outstanding as usual. All of us ordered the Shrimp Calabria appetizer and enjoyed it immensely. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. And the lobster tail looked and tasted wonderful. The chocolate cake for dessert was a perfect way to end this wonderful dinner. We really enjoyed our server Joe, he had a great sense of humor and was joking with us the entire evening and it really made for a fun dining experience. Chad even came over a couple of times and checked in on us to make sure everything was going fine. Thanks to everyone for making this another wonderful dining experience.

   As we were being seated the host handed me three different wine and spirits menus. I wasn’t even completely in my seat yet and my coat was barely off. The onion bread was delicious although it was a bit tricky to butter it with a steak knife. Apps were good; scallops and Caesar salad. My husband enjoyed his surf and turf but my ribeye was disappointing as it was slightly overcooked and tasteless. Excellent truffle fries and the signature sundae was marvelous. Service was prompt but a little spotty in accuracy.

   Our experience yesterday at Mortons was amazing! We were celebrating our 1 year Anniversary and the Morton’s staff didn’t disappoint. While setting the appointment in the OpenTable app there was field requesting if we were celebrating any special occasion. I have filled this out many times for other restaurants and it is rarely noticed by the staff. However, during our visit to Morton’s I can confidently say that they took note. When we entered the restaurant and identified ourselves for the reservation the hostess wished us a warm happy anniversary greeting. She was friendly and outgoing during our interaction. After seating us she returned to offer us a picture for our anniversary. After taking the picture she returned in about 5 mins with our glossy printed 4x6 picture in a stylish Morton’s Steakhouse frame made of a sturdy card stock material. A “Happy Anniversary”message was neatly written in the frame along with several employee signatures and the date. When our waiter arrived at the table he delivered menus that had “Happy 1 Year Wedding Anniversary!” Printed on top of the menu. Not going to lie, this was an impressive touch.

   They got the lobster bisque right, thank you! The entrees were delicious and temperature appropriate. The wine was excellent and the service was perfect. Kudos to James and his team and to Peter our server!
