   We had a very disappointing experience at Morton's. I understand that on Christmas Eve the place is busy, but there were many things that made for a poor experience that had nothing to do with being busy. Our waiter was non-existent - maybe saw him twice. Never came by to ask us if we needed our drinks refreshed or to give us an update on the 40 min it took us to get salads. My husband finally said something to the general manager who said he had noticed our table was getting ignored (there were only 3 of us) and apologized for the service. When food finally showed up my filet, which I ordered medium rare was cooked well done and also the thinnest filet I have ever seen and another steak ordered medium was rare. Again the general manager apologized and offered to recook things, but at this point we had waited so long we just dealt with it. He did take the filet off the bill at the end, which was appreciated since it was uneatable. We have a family tradition of going to Ringside for Christmas Eve, but this year we decided to change it up. Won't that mistake again. $600 for 3 people on food and service that was subpar was not the experience I had hoped for this year.

   Everything was great from our waiter to the food to the holiday decor. It was a wonderful experience before going to the show across the street.

   Today, we went and had dinner at Morton Steak House in Portland, Oregon. Before going to the Nutcracker Ballet show. When we entered the restaurant, we were flabbergasted. Because Morton Steak House is packed. We did not see any open table. Our reservation is six o'clock and the show is at 7:30 pm. I really got worried, I told my husband, "we might get our food late and be late on the show." Anyways, we proceeded to order our food. We ordered ribeye steak, and the steak is excellent. The bake potato is to die for. The asparagus is overcooked. We enjoyed sparkling lemonade and lavander peach( non alcoholic drink). The very best with our dinner is our server. We mentioned to him that we have a show to see at 7:30pm. He made sure we got our food on time and not be late on the show. He is awesome and took care of us. He is very attentive and always checking on us. We finished our dinner on time and got to see the show with no problem. Unfortunately, I was not able to get his (server) name. MORTON STEAK HOUSE, you have one of the very best and awesome servers in your restaurant. Thank you

   The food was good, not great. I would say the same about the service. For an upscale place it is very noisy, the tables are way too close together. I want more ambience if I’m spending so much for dinner , I don’t think I will go back. I prefer Ruth Chris.

   Dinner was great and our server Lily was awesome. Way too loud. Large group tables made it hard to have a conversation. They recognized the noise level and moved us without us asking, which was nice.

   We were seated and given the best waiter on our table. He made sure our wine glasses were always topped off and our food was delivered timely and accurate. Great food and service in one of the best restaurants in town.

    I have been a frequent guest and have enjoyed Morton’s for decades. We decided to go for Thanksgiving and we were terribly disappointed in every aspect of the experience. The food was very very late coming out and the waiter provided slow and often absent service. I couldn’t believe that first course and second course arrived together and about 20 minutes after ordering. The food arrived long before our first round of drinks! Most expensive check for 4 people and well below par. Just frustrating and sad
