This was my first visit to Myrtle but it will not be my last. We absolutely loved our evening here - from the drink before dinner in the Wee Sister next door (excellent Guinness according to husband and delicious crémant according to me) - to the amazing St Patrick's Day tasting menu with a fabulous wine pairing. Every single course was delicious - the little amuse bouche (black pudding with apple, ham croquettes), the coddle, the amazing take on cabbage & Bacon, the mouthwatering beef etc and culminating in the best ever Dark Hedges/Black Forest pudding I've ever had. I just about restrained myself from licking the plate. The service was perfect - friendly, attentive and professional. Restaurant manager Daniel looked after us wonderfully from start to finish - and was great at explaining the wine pairings. We went home buzzing after one of the best and most enjoyable meals I've ever had. We felt really looked after and, of course, extremely well fed and watered. I recommend Myrtle whole-heartedly.

Visited on the back of seeing Anna on various tv programmes, and we were not disappointed. Excellent food served in a relaxed environment with relaxed friendly service - a truly lovely way to spend an afternoon

All the group really enjoyed the experience. First time diners here and will certainly be coming back. We all had the 6 course taster menu and thoroughly enjoyed every bite! Great atmosphere, served by knowledable and attentive staff. What more could you want!

Wonderful restaurant. Second time we've visited and again weren't disappointed. The food is amazing. Staff are excellent - knowledge of food and wine top notch. We will definitely be visiting again. In addition to the restaurant The Wee Sister wine bar next door (also part of Myrtle's) is a lovely spot. You can sit and watch the world go by whilst having a drink. The Guinness is the best!!! Keep up the good work guys.

We had the 9 course tasting menu without the matching wine. Whilst some of the dishes were fantastic (beef sirloin and boxsty, oyster and black pudding) some were pretty bland (spirit of ireland) and the main dessert. When you are paying £110 per person you expect all dishes to be of an extremely high standard, not just half. Service was good, especially the sommelier. Wasn't much of a story when giving out food dishes apart from what the ingredients are. Would we go back? Probably not.
