   This is one of our main go to places on nights that we attend the San Francisco Symphony. The food is always great. Every time we have been there Benjamin was our waiter. He typically suggests a few things we might want to consider for that night's dinner, and his recommendations are always excellent. They were again last night. We had the grilled fish cheeks (Kama-Yaki) and it was outstanding!

   Lovely intimate interior design. Waited 20 mins for drinks to be delivered. Spicy garlic edamame was delicious. Had sushi rolls which were good. I'd go back and be a bit more selective on the choice of rolls.

   Nakama is a convivial, comfortable place that was open on Thanksgiving day. Our server Benjamin took good care of us. Hard to choose among the many offerings. The Aji, Hamachi, Kasugodai, and Umimasu nigiri were so delicate and fresh. The tempura baby bellos were juicy and just right. We tried the Hotate Bacon and Kushiyaki skewers, but found them not as outstanding as the sushi. The Negihama handroll had especially good nori. We had delicious hot sake and finished off with the not too sweet mango panacotta. Get your reservation for you and your friends!

   Nakama is great. Food service are constantly consistent. The staff so friendly and helpful with suggestions on sake and sushi options.

   I made a reservation for 6:15 and called to let them know we would be 10 minutes late and they said no problem. We arrived 7 minutes late and they had already given our table away even though I called. We had an event to go to . After standing in the doorway for about 20 minutes they finally squeezed us in at the bar. Sushi was excellent though.

   One of our favorite sushi restaurants in the City. Standards done well, but more interesting options done even better (lobster crunch roll). If you can’t decide on which sake, you’ll be offered tastes. A go-to before SF Hazz.
