   This place is southern not soul food. I got the trio of sides. The Mac and cheese was okay the yams tasted as if they just boiled and cut the yams there was no bourbon or brown sugar added. My partner got the pulled pork. The pull pork was very well smoked but the barbecue tasted a bit cheap. The coleslaw wasn’t sweet enough to go with the pulled pork. I was excited for the egg rolls with the Mac and cheese, the collard greens were well cooked but the whole thing lacked flavor which is probably why it came with a sauce on the side. BUT their bartender did there thing with the drinks, really good espresso martini. The server we had was very nice and attentive. Overall food quality wasn’t good and it was very expensive.

   Food was very good, but thought it was a bit pricey. I understand it's Vegas, but $35 for meatloaf was a bit much. I do recommend this place as the quality of food was outstanding, despite the price.

   Surprised we were not seated to be able to see the live music. We had reservations and most of the tables were open.

   I loved our waiter. He made honest suggestions which I appreciate. The food was….meh. I expected more. I was told the biscuits were a must. They were greasy. The fried chicken was ‘dusty’. The skin dissolved instead of crunching. It was good’ish but we expected more. The fried green tomatoes were ALL batter. Not sure there was a green tomato inside at all. The dumplings were more like paste. Very very thick.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm, friendly service that set the tone for a fantastic meal. We started with the egg roll appetizer, a delicious and unexpected Southern twist—crispy, flavorful, and the perfect way to begin. The grilled shrimp was expertly cooked, juicy, and packed with smoky goodness, while the classic chicken and waffles hit all the right notes—crispy, tender fried chicken paired with fluffy waffles and just the right touch of sweetness. The drinks were excellent, especially the margarita, which was perfectly balanced and refreshing. Each cocktail was crafted with care, elevating the entire experience. Service was prompt, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making us feel right at home.    Nellie’s was so good! The soul food was up to par! Don’t only was it tasty but the chicken was juicy not dry which I was so surprised and thankful for yummy! Definitely going back

   We’re from Texas, so we know southern food and how it should be cooked. We came here as we got married earlier in the day and we wanted to have food that tasted like home. The sweet tea was the best part, it tasted just like it’s made at home. They really should advertise it though on the menu! The food was ok, but the biscuits were great!! Definitely recommend getting that. I don’t recommend the cookie skillet, it just had way too much caramel sauce on it. It’d be balanced out if they added chocolate syrup to it. The service wasn’t the best for the price we paid for food. There was a big convention party that we got outshadowed for.
