More than a restaurant, Nicksan is a culinary experience of the highest level. In its open kitchen, the ingredients of two ancestral cultures located on opposite sides of the world are fused.

Its owners Masayuki Niikura and Ángel Carbajal, originally from Japan and Mexico respectively, opened the first Nicksan restaurant in Los Cabos in 1994, creating amazing congruencies between the flavors of both countries.

Some of the signature dishes that you can taste at our fabulous Residences Plaza location in Nuevo Vallarta are the spicy tuna cake, the salmon skin cone, the Shiromi Coriander and Maguro Lemon sushi rolls, the cucumber salad with wakame seaweed and crab, the gorgonzola shrimp and the serranito beef fillet.

    Shrimp lettuce wrap was good and tempura shrimp. The Miso soup was so-so and the Teriyaki Chicken was smothered in sauce and horrible.

    Siempre buen servicio y comida, lo visito 1 a 2 veces al mes. Desafortunadamente solicitan un consumo mínimo de $4,000 para las mesas bots del área exterior como si fuera antro bar, lo cual no es algo bien visto para clientes frecuentes.

    La comida deja mucho que desear, sus mariscos no parecían del día. Fuimos 6 personas y pedimos una gran variedad de platillos al centro, ninguno cumplió con la expectativa. Nada fresco y sus ingredientes malos.

    Went to Nicksan for the first time. The three of us are all vegan. Enjoyed edamame, grilled vegetables, vegetable fried rice and vegetable rolls. They also adapted their lemon and shrimp taquitos by removing shrimp and replacing with tofu. Enjoyed a couple of cocktails. Both were excellent. Definitely a much more pricey experience than most of the restaurants we have frequented while here for 3 months (total per person including 20% tip, was $600 pesos). Atmosphere was excellent as was the service.

    Amazing service and Amazing Food and presentation. Thank you for taking such good care of our large group of 11, Ladies Luncheon in January and in March 2026. We will all definitely be back soon.

    Frecuentamos mucho este restaurante y siempre había sido una gran experiencia. Ayer la comida estuvo riquísima pero el servicio fue malo. Las cosas tardaban demasiado en llegar (no solo comida sino pedir hielos o palillos) , el vino estaba malo y no nos ofrecieron solución, nos dijeron que le pondrían descuento y al final no lo hicieron. Pedimos un pastel de cumpleaños y nunca llegó (no esperamos cortesía sino pagarlo pero no lo llevaron). No retiraban los platos y vasos sucios. Pero la comida como siempre deliciosa y el lugar es hermoso . Desafortunadamente esta vez la experiencia no fue de 5 estrellas como otras veces
