   Stopped by for a late lunch and really enjoyed the delicious French Dip. Our waitress was very sweet and gave us excellent service. Nick's is always a great choice for dining in Del Mar!

   This is the second time 3 of us have reserved an outside table. Months ago they said that we weren’t a big enough party to take an outside table even though we had called ahead. They had us wait about 20-30 minutes and finally sat us at an outside table. Again tonight they said same about not seating a small party of 3 at a bigger table. That a request for outside is just a request. It was a 5:30pm dinner reservation, not such a busy time. We left and South of Nicks next door had no trouble accommodating us in the most gracious way and we had a delightful and tasty meal with great service. Don’t bother with Nicks, go to South of Nicks for a warm welcome and a good dining experience.

   Nicole Young was our server and was so sweet, friendly and made our dining experience great. We ordered drink we did not love. At the end of the meal, she brought over a delicious dessert for us. Highly recommend the restaurant .

   I ate here on Monday and it was wonderful, but return visit wasn't. Did not get the inside table I asked for with the reservation. We had to ask someone to find us a waiter as no one came o take our dinner order. They took the drink order immediately. We sat outside and it was cold and noisy. Not a pleasant experience at all.

   Upscale restaurant with impressive menu offerings to entice any appetite. We enjoyed craft cocktails and satisfying salads that I crave more and more each time I eat at Nick's!

   Nicks Del Mar is a very attractive space to enjoy the normally beautiful San Diego weather, with interesting seating options inside and out. Our party just had salads with grilled fish proteins. Everything was prepared very well , although the dressings generally lacked flavor. Looking forward to returning for a more extensive sampling of the menu

    The food is top notch. I've eaten at Nicks so many times, left good reviews many times before. The service the last few tines has been less attentive and at times, down right slow. Nice people, and I've noticed many new faces, and perhaps this is just temporary.
