Nobu Downtown is located in the heart of Manhattan’s Financial District designed by NYC’s celebrated architect, David Rockwell. On the ground level, guests can enjoy open air-like experience in our Broadway dining room or Bar & Lounge dining framed by 30 foot heroic limestone columns. Our sub terrain dining room provides intimate ambience with sushi bar and private dining options. Indulge in Chef Nobu’s famous signature dishes including Rock Shrimp Tempura and Black Cod Miso as well as traditional Japanese favorites and sushi.

    It's not the same of Nobu of past. Very commercialized. It's more of a scene/vibe. Waiter could not pace the meal at all. We felt very rushed. He put in the orders and they just start coming from the different kitchens. At one point we had 5 different dishes, some cold, some hot all at the same time on the table. Great to revisit the classics: rock shrimp, yellowtail, miso black cod. The setting is quite beautiful especially the lobby bar area. But I still prefer the Nobu of past which was more serene and less of a corporate money making factory.

    The music wasn’t what we expected for a nice restaurant like this. It was quite loud. More for dancing than for a dinner ambiance! The staff was very nice and provided excellent service

    Our waiter was super attentive and helpful with everything from wine selection to being mindful of a gluten allergy. The service and food was excellent, 10/10!

    I made reservations to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. Reception from Nobu called so I can confirm the reservation and they asked me about the birthday I put down on the reservation, I told them it was my girlfriends birthday, they asked for her name and told me that all I have to do is order a dessert and they’ll come out with candles. I asked again do I need to let them know in person about the birthday, they said no they’ll have a note for the waiter. I trusted what the reception told me so at the restaurant I didn’t say anything about the birthday, I assumed they have something written down. We ordered dessert and guess what, no candles no happy birthday no nothing. I was furious. I should have said something at the restaurant coming in. Don’t call and assure me something and not do it Nobu. This had nothing to do with our waitress she was wonderful. The blame was the person calling and confirming my reservation and asking about my girlfriends birthday.
