What began thirty years ago, as a four-month traveling trip, culminated in what is today, a menu designed to take you to many cultures -- the Mediterranean, Southeast Asia and Latin America -- tied together by what a meandering, somewhat adventurous backpacker -- a Nomad -- would want to eat.

Nomad Eatery celebrates vibrant dishes found all over these regions, respecting the indigenous flavors, and doing it all in a modern way.

Nomad Eatery includes a full bar, inventive craft cocktails, curated wine list, and features abundant seating including a fireplace and heated outdoor dining area.

Free self parking is available on the adjacent parking structure.

Excellent food. Tender lamb, fresh seafood, wonderful coconut shrimp, smooth creme Brule. Nice fireplace, great drink list.

This restaurant was a disappointment from start to finish. The place is located in an office complex off of Rosecrans and not easy to find. I went on Friday with a friend for Happy Hour. The portions of food were incredibly small and overpriced . The taste of everything was bland. The drinks 2 martinis were literally 2 sips each in the smallest glasses I’ve ever seen. They looked like children “kitchen play” glasses but priced like a usual martini. The bartender, also our server, has the worst personality and was clearly not thrilled to be at work. The woman who brought our food out literally threw our food on the table. I’ve never written a bad review about a restaurant before, but I was shocked at the whole experience. My friend and I laughed and left before ordering any main courses. Save your time and money and go anyplace else!

OUTSTANDING! The food was perfectly served (presentation, temperature, freshness, taste) and service was excellent...server was friendly and attentive. Was a treat to meet the owner and chat about how Nomad Eatery came to be...what a treat! DEFINITELY we'll return to try other dishes...everyone of them in the menu look very interesting. Thank you for the wonderful brunch experience. Highly recommend it.

Food was well seasoned. However, my steak was not cooked to specification (medium rare when asked for medium). Potatoes were a little overdone. The service was great.

granted it was New Year’s Eve, but the service was slow, mostly because they were understaffed for a full house. Also, they brought us the check without even asking us if we wanted any dessert. Also, the premier dish of whole Bronzino was overpriced and was five dollars more than they advertise on the website

A hidden gem. Too bad this restaurant got stuck in this out-of-the-way location (since the theaters closed, there is not much foot traffic, but the parking beats anything else in Manhattan Beach). In Hermosa Beach as Jackson's this was possibly my favorite restaurant. But I forget it's there until we went again last night and had a delicious meal with attentive service. The filet with risotto is still as delicious as ever, and we all enjoyed our entrees. Must get back again sooner than it has been since the last time we ate here.

I booked a reservation but when we arrived the restaurant was closed. I wish the system would know when this happens so we don’t have to drive all the way down to the restaurant to find this out.

a little hidden way behind and between structure parking and construction everywhere. dinner w family with no expectations, just a casual dinner outing and food was good nothing bad to say but nothing phenomenal that stood out. we ordered steamed mussels/ branzino / lamb / hummus and house made naan and the skirt steak dish which were all good. However I was really more excited for the lava cake w V ice cream for desserts. the server (or manager) came over and asked if we’re ready for desserts and started explaining the dessert menu, I mentioned right away I wanted the lava cake and she ignored what I had asked and explained other dishes. I asked again and she sighed and said, well… it takes a really long time to prep, but if you’d like… you can wait 45-an hr minimum or so.. so better to order something else!! Would of been nice for her to let us know ahead of time when we were ordering food like (incase you guys want this and that, it will take time fyi) considering how popular the dessert is (highlight of the restaurant) anyway overall experience food wise was good and decent for casual dine or lunch.. but not for special occasions

Food, service and concept are outstanding. The food is refined and flavorful, and the selection is just right. Same goes for the drinks: not extensive but top notch quality and just the right sorts. The concept is beautiful, tasteful, really nice and with subdued elegance, without being pretentious. Loved the covered patio where we ate, though it was pretty loud in spite of the tables not being crowded. Parking was easy. The outside patio is under renovation (in December), cannot wait to enjoy it when it gets warmer and when it will be ready.
