As San Antonio’s food scene continues to evolve, a new culinary hub is beginning to take shape downtown, where some might argue it all began. With signs of life stirring and anticipation building, the lights are officially back on in the historic Fairmount Hotel’s corner eatery. SILO Restaurants and Food Network Star runner-up and Executive Chef Luca Della Casa announce the opening of NONNA Osteria, offering artisan Northern Italian cuisine, honoring the regional traditions and heritage of Chef Della Casa’s homeland.

Great Italian downtown restaurant. It’s in the beautiful Fairmount Hotel - it’s a gorgeous restaurant with a lovely ambiance. The food was excellent! Not exceedingly expensive for the quality. We’ll definitely go back!

We went to dinner on Valentine’s Day. Everything was perfect. Food was delicious and service was excellent! I recommend the bolognese, it was plentiful as well as delicious! This is my favorite Italian restaurant in all of San Antonio!

Absolutely phenomenal. Went there for their Valentine's Menu and everything was superb. Very enjoyable ambience, will be returning here again to try their cheese wheel pasta!

Our server was kind and helpful. The atmosphere was very loud, especially the table right next to us. Our food took a while to come out, and the prices were a bit high, but we enjoyed our meal overall.

We traveled from Austin to come try this restaurant because I saw it on someone’s story. They change menus so unfortunately I couldn’t get what I originally wanted to get, but what I did get (the gamberi? it was rigatoni, with shrimp, vodka sauce capers and other things. simple but good). the cocktail was also good. The waitress didn’t tell us when the kitchen closes…so we didn’t get to order more food or even dessert, which was a bummer because I was really looking forward to the tiramisu.

One of our favorite SA spots - best lobster ravioli I’ve ever had!! Only negative was they were late for our reservation by about 15 mins and the noise level was high. Other than that, it was a perfect evening!!

Food was amazing! Our server gave us perfect advice and was amazing…so we went back again the next day! He recommended the steak with gnocchi and the mushroom ravioli with wild boar which was one of not the best Italian meals we have had in years! 2nd night we had the sea bass and the butternut ravioli, both were very very good but I liked the first nights pairing better. You can’t go wrong, heard the pizzas are great and gonna try them this week. Thanks Jose for the great recommendations and helpful ideas!
