The waitress did not time our food and brought our primi and main together. She never. Checked on our drinks. Forgot my colleagues drink and was not attentive. They were not very busy either. Our fish was bad smelled like ammonia. And no one said a thing. That is something a manager comes to the table for when a meal costs over 300.

The food was absolutely FABULOUS! For example, best pasta carbonara and best asparagus I ever ate. Diverse menu, including 3 excellent fish choices. (No lasagna; this is northern Italian!). The service was good, but overworked. They have 3 kinds of chairs. The most common one was the most uncomfortable chair I ever sat in. They were kind enough to let me switch chairs, so I am now not crippled. The restaurant on this Wednesday night was full. Full of predominantly men on expense accounts who love good food, who know where to get it, and can pay! They like to drink good wine, and even tell loud stories and even sing.

Service was excellent at hosting stand as well as wait staff. Felt very welcomed. Ordered Verde salad and caprese. Verde salad was just mixed greens with a very good vinaigrette - no fried currants or blue cheese crumbles like they used to have. Still a solid salad because the vinaigrette was so good. The caprese was good, but the breading on the mozzarella was a little thick. Tomatoes were wonderful, especially considering this is February. Loved the pesto and balsamic drizzle. Dessert was the chocolate budino and was very good. The chocolate was not as dense as I was expecting in texture, but the flavor was good. Loved the cookie crumbles and whipped cream garnish. Overall, a lovely experience.

Great Italian downtown restaurant. It’s in the beautiful Fairmount Hotel - it’s a gorgeous restaurant with a lovely ambiance. The food was excellent! Not exceedingly expensive for the quality. We’ll definitely go back!

We went to dinner on Valentine’s Day. Everything was perfect. Food was delicious and service was excellent! I recommend the bolognese, it was plentiful as well as delicious! This is my favorite Italian restaurant in all of San Antonio!
