   Good place for a drink with a view. We only had drinks, so the mark for food is just based on what we saw in the menu which was just nibbly platter stuff.

   We had cocktails to watch the sunset (granted not much sun on the 1st of January!) and was perfection. Didn’t have food, but will next time.

   Liked the place but we waited 15 minutes for a server and finally the very nice host placed our order. Kind of bad since the place was very quiet and there were two servers. Also disappointing that the are in a hotel but didn’t have the food menu. We wanted to order one of the platters and some caviar for the holidays and could not. The espresso martinis were great and that made up for a lot!

   We arrived at The Nor Loft on Christmas day. We did not eat it was snacks only. We had two bottles of superb Champagne. The staff very exceptional and chatted to us we got some lovely photographs which one if the staff took for us. Overall, excellent place for us we always return.

   OpenTable unfortunately had let me choose a festive afternoon tea booking, which wasn't actually available on the day I arrived which is a shame as I was only visiting Edinburgh for a couple of days over Christmas and this was my mum's Christmas present. The staff were extremely apologetic and gave us the fondue menu at no extra cost, and even took off the service charge (I did actually try to get this added back on as the service we received was really great), so whilst disappointed, they really did do everything they could to help fix this error. This is a great little restaurant and bar with lovely views and the staff really made our visit.

   Loved the food and drinks and cosy fires in this bar & restaurant. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food portions small and perhaps a bit overpriced expensive. Nothing negative about the location as its views are amazing.
