Chef Luke Owens is the chef-owner of Native Fine Diner and Julep Contemporary Kitchen in Greenville, North Carolina. Piedmont-born and Eastern NC-raised, he brings over 15 years of experience to his inventive diner menus that blend creativity with nostalgia. Luke honed his craft in Raleigh, NC, working at Coquette and The Raleigh Times Bar before heading east in 2016 to lead the kitchen at Boiler Room Oyster Bar. Chef Jill Mathias, Executive Chef and co-owner of Chez Nous, is known for her ever-changing, handwritten menu inspired by the rustic flavors of Southern France, Northern Spain, and Northern Italy. A Johnson and Wales graduate, she refined her craft in kitchens across the Lowcountry, as well as Seattle and Martha’s Vineyard before leading the iconic Carolina’s Restaurant in Charleston. In 2014, her and her husband, Juan Cassalett, opened Chez Nous, a welcoming neighborhood spot where European comfort food takes center stage.

Greeted when arrived by reception, bar tender, and servers! Venison Wellington was cooked to perfection, the starters goat cheese ravioli, pork belly, and bread was excellent. The experience couldn’t have been better. Well done Oak Steakhouse

Waiter was very personable. Truffle fries and hamburger were very good. They brought us berry croissant for a birthday day celebration which was delicious and made meal special!
