   A special occasion kinda place. Amazing food and drinks and Donovan (our guide for the evening) was the perfect wait host. Knew his menu, knew his wines and made our birthday girl feel like a queen. We were seated in a pod/room/inlet with a view of the kitchen. Much more intimate seating than in the main dining room but the music was a bit loud we only found out at the end of the meal that lighting and sound can be fine tuned for each table in that area. Next time! The food is excellent though pricing is not for the faint of heart. Well worth it ! Ask for Donovan for a perfect evening

   I had high hopes for Ocean 44, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the hype. They take great pride in showcasing their fresh seafood in an elegant glass display, yet once it reaches the table, it’s drowned in heavy sauces that completely overshadow the natural flavors. Why go through the effort of sourcing premium seafood only to mask it? Another major letdown is the lack of a proper sashimi platter. A restaurant of this caliber should offer something simple yet refined, like toro and other prime cuts of fish, but instead, they seem to avoid letting the seafood stand on its own. The hamachi I tried tasted off—like it had been sitting on ice for days, losing its freshness and texture. The ambiance also missed the mark. The design is too plain to feel truly upscale, and playing radio music in the background only cheapens the experience further. For the price point, I expected a more refined atmosphere, better execution on the dishes, and an overall experience that justifies the premium cost. Unfortunately, Ocean 44 fell short on all fronts.

   Zack at the back bar last night was amazing. He and his team provided excellent service. Thank you Zack we needed an amazingly, relaxing night and you delivered! The conversation, food and drinks were a chef’s kiss.

   The food was what one would expect at this type of restaurant. The steak is definitely among the best I’ve ever had. The seafood bowl we got as an appetizer was just okay, mainly because it wasn’t worth the price. The martinis, however, are wonderful—I love that they leave the shaker with you to finish. It's like getting two for the price of one! The noise level was lively and bustling, and the service was attentive and friendly. We were seated in a cozy booth where you could easily have a conversation without raising your voice. I would go again. Be sure to make reservations early, even for the bar.

   This is our new favorite restaurant! We travel a LOT and have had some amazing dinners but this was over the top fantastic from the moment we walked into the front door. The service was spectacular & the food was so great we can’t wait to come back!
