   This was the best dining experience I've had in Vancouver to date, and top five worldwide. As a foodie who has dined at several 1, 2, and 3 star Michelin restaurants, I think that says a lot. The overall experience was pure bliss. I will be going back to introduce it to more of my friends and family.

   One of a kind dining experience. Food, service, ambience were authentic and traditional and the timing was impeccable. Walking through the private entrance it felt you were transported to a different time. Exiting onto Mainland on a busy Sat evening was a noteable contrast. The dinner was filled with ceremony and music and felt intimate and unique. Would highly recommend.

   We’ve had the good fortune to eat at a number of Michelin starred restaurants and this was one the best we’ve enjoyed; it was our first omakase sushi experience. Atmosphere and service were great. A few of the courses were some of the best bites I’ve ever had (I’m looking at you bluefin tuna)- just divine. Sake selection was a little disappointing; no list they just bring you out a couple of bottles to, choose from, one expensive one a bit less so, we chose the latter. It was lovely and the price was fair but a bit more selection (and transparency) wound have been appreciated. With that said I’d go back on a heartbeat, a really great meal.

   Not worth the money. The food was just okay. I’m an omakase lover, but this is the first time I broke out in hives after a meal. Honestly, not a single dish gave me that “wow” feeling. It wasn’t bad, but definitely not worth the price. As for the so-called “show” — I really don’t get it. Isn’t that just what every omakase does? Which omakase doesn’t have the chef preparing food right in front of you?

    From the moment we stepped into this one-star Michelin Japanese restaurant, it was clear we were in for something extraordinary. The experience is intimate and immersive—the chef masterfully prepares each course right in front of you, with precision, artistry, and deep respect for the ingredients. Watching him work is a performance in itself. The service was impeccable. The waitresses were attentive without being intrusive—anticipating needs before they were voiced, explaining each dish with knowledge and warmth. It’s rare to feel so well cared for throughout an entire meal. And the food—every bite was a revelation. The sushi, in particular, was on another level. Fresh, perfectly seasoned, and texturally sublime. It’s hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had, and that’s not something I say lightly. This is more than a meal—it’s an experience. If you have the opportunity to dine here, don’t hesitate. It’s a must.
