   Establishment is connected to a market next door. Before, during and even after our dinner, there was an over abundant of smoke in the air because of all the cooking next door. The smoke made the dining experience underwhelming. The food was decent though. Service can be improved.

   The food was really delicious, but I wish they used better noodles for the chili crab noodle dish. The portions are small for the price. Jayden was great and provided great service.

   Out of all the restaurants I’ve been to in Honolulu, save Le Mer, Olili has been the best.

   Helpful wait staff. I had the shoyu short ribs special on a bed of mushrooms. The short ribs and the mushrooms were both very salty. Disappointed.

   Great service. All the servers were really knowledgeable about the menu. They made great recommendations for my entree. Food was delicious. Highly recommend.

   We loved Olili. The food was fantastic. Very fresh ingredients an interesting dishes. Our server was excellent. Very helpful but never in the way.

   The food and drinks were absolutely amazing. I had the spicy marg, smoked fish dip, spicy crab noodles, and mud bar dessert. The bartenders were really nice and gave great suggestions. The only negative was I did find it tacky that they charged us $3 for a birthday scoop of gelato that I didn’t order.

   We’ve never had a bad meal at Olili and we’ve been many times and are hopeful for many more. This meal we tried out a seasonal special: Shoyu Braised Short Rib with tteokbokki, king oyster & cremini mushrooms, tempura enoki mushroom, pickled onions, chives. If you happen to be in Waikiki this winter, it’s a must have. Truly outstanding plate with perfectly braised and seasoned short rib, the delightful chew of tteokbokki, and that tempura enoki is an umami cracker of greatness. Gorgeous dish. The baby gem salad was as delicious as ever and a great accompaniment to the short rib.

   Wonderful experience. Food was five star. Drinks were just perfect and dessert raised the bar even higher. Top notch flavors throughout the courses. We’ll be back !
