    La clase comienza con una breve introducción impartida por el chef Rodolfo; donde platicará con el grupo acerca de los platillos y recetas a cocinar, así como los ingredientes que se utilizarán en la preparación. Una vez organizados, se trasladan todos a la central de abastos para realizar la compra de insumos. Al finalizar las compras de mercado regresan al restaurante para iniciar la preparación de cada platillo. Cocinarán todos juntos bajo las instrucciones y consejos que el chef les dará durante todo el proceso. La clase culmina con una relajada comida grupal donde se degustará cada platillo y se compartirán aprendizajes para hacer de este momento una gran experiencia de cocina en Origen.

    I was not impressed. Maybe they were having a bad night, and/or short-handed, but service was really, really slow. Never was offered any water. They were out of the dish I wanted. I left after the 2nd course, just bland, unremarkable food (I offered to pay for the 3rd!). I think you have better options in Oaxaca Centro.

    The food was extraordinary and I highly recommend. Our only complaint was the alarm from a nearby bank that went off and on throughout the meal and was very disruptive to the ambiance.

    Heard great things about this place. The hostess was not friendly or very communicative. The chef was great. The zarandeado fish plate presentation looked nice but flavor was lacking. I had rib eye and it was cooked to perfection. Nice presentation but basic flavors. They gave us some mini empanadas that were very tasty. The dessert of flower of Jamaica was awesome. So it was an okay experience but I would not come back. So many other places to try.

    Excellent, authentic food with the most attentive staff, especially Ignacio who has made each of our visits exceptional. There's not a dish we tried that we didn't love including the quail, duck breast, oxtail stew, and of course, the desserts.

    Pedimos el menú de degustación y cada uno de los platos fue una maravillosa experiencia de lo que es la cocina del Chef Rodolfo Castellanos, definitivamente un lugar para volver.

    My wife, Liz, and I are new to Oaxaca. We decided to make our first evening a date night and booked Origen for their degustation with beverage pairing. We were delighted with the overall experience and the chef created a contemporary and interesting twist on the origins of Mexican cuisine. The restaurant was relaxed with style and it was nestled off one of the main squares in Centro. We felt it was fairly priced for the quality of ingredients and the complete experience. All in all, a great way to start our visit to Oaxaca 🙏🏻🌈❤️
