Osterias have always been a staple of Italian dining culture. Back in the day, it used to be a place serving wine and simple food.
In the last 30 years, with the introduction of the slow food movement, Osteria got a relevant role in the Italian dining scene. Emphasis shifted to food made with local produce, shot menus and specialities such as house-made pasta, served to share in the middle of the table.
Our aim at Osteria Morelli is to showcase all the beautiful produce of the Northern Rivers, using Italian techniques and principles. On our menu, you will find homemade pasta, daily baked focaccia, fruit and veggies from amazing local farmers and only the best meat and fish available on the day.

    Dinner for 4. Antipasto plate filled us up - wow what delicious tomatoes. Nonetheless we enjoyed main courses too but no room for dessert. Well done to all for a great evening.

    Food is fantastic. Bitter greens so good I came back a second night to have them again. I came once with my family and tried 2 pastas and fish. All outstanding. Tonight the agnolotti was also fantastic. Highly recommend

    Outstanding as usual. One of the few restaurants in the Northern Rivers where food is worth the money. The love and care Martin puts into his dishes takes me back to Italy each time I visit. I absolutely love that the menu changes regularly and that ingredients are always fresh. Till next time!

    Wonderful authentic Northern Italian food. The tiramisu was the best I’ve had since Italy. Great choice for an evening in Lennox Head.

    Very generous serving for a tasting but would have preferred less with more flavor. 4 pasta was a bit much… would have enjoyed some other kinds of servings

    I'm sorry Barb you didn't enjoy your experience with us. Just to clarify we don't offer a tasting menu but a shared set menu, where we send out the food accordingly to what we think is the best and the one of choose is mainly composed by Pasta. When you book online it is clearly stated on the $65 set menu: "Embark on a $65 Italian Culinary Journey for Hungry Souls! Immerse yourself in our 'Buon Appetito' Sharing Menu, meticulously crafted to satisfy even the most insatiable appetites". I'm not really sure what you were expecting, but, we think we don't deserve a rating like the one you gave us and we feel like we always try to provide the best of what we are any time a guest walk in the restaurant.

    The pasta dishes are outstanding. The focaccia and whipped ricotta are a dream to eat. Nice restaurant, very comfortable and not squishy which makes dining a more pleasant experience. Staff are attentive and friendly.
