Aloha and welcome to PAI Honolulu—where every dish has a story, and every guest becomes part of ours.

PAI is our chef-owned restaurant, born from Kevin’s love for cooking and our dream of sharing this passion with others. Since 2017, PAI has been more than a restaurant to us—it’s an experience we’re grateful to share with each guest. Kevin crafts each dish with locally inspired flavors, blending artistry and warmth into every plate. By sourcing local ingredients and preparing each element in-house, he creates dishes that are as genuine as it is beautiful.

PAI offers a refined yet relaxed atmosphere where we hope you’ll enjoy the moment, connect with loved ones over good food, and feel welcomed as part of our ‘ohana.

Pescatarian, Vegetarian, and GF options available. We are happy to accommodate dietary preferences with 48 hours’ notice.

    New Year's Eve at Pai was extraordinary! No one should miss an opportunity to eat at this stellar restaurant. The kampachi starter combined with beets surrounding a delicate sauce was outstanding, as was the roasted octopus which was tender enough to cut with a fork. The risotto was the best we've ever had. And the slow roasted pork shoulder, crusty with spice on the outside and tender light pink inside was excellent. Chef Kevin is the most innovative and precise chef in the islands. He combines top quality ingredients in unique ways that always tickle, not overwhelm, the palate. It is a pleasure to watch him quietly making his magic in the open kitchen With his spouse, Justine, and a friendly staff he has created a warm and comfortable ambiance as the setting for his food. This a special place for a romantic dinner for two or for a group of foodie friends to gather .

    Lovely pre fixe New Year’s Eve meal with wine pairing. Very attentive service but casual and friendly. Innovative and visually pleasing courses that complimented each other. Very close to the Hawaii theatre and Chinatown, but a quiet and restful place to relax and enjoy.

    We knew very little about Pai but for one friend who raved about it… SO GLAD we took a chance on a new destination! We loved every moment, the total experience, guided by the charming owners & staff. We highly recommend!

    The service and Chef’s food creation were excellent! Our server, Tyron, was friendly and helpful, making us feel comfortable and welcome.     Small, intimate setting that puts the incredible food on full display. Braised Beef was the star of the show, will the lemongrass curry pasta on its heels. Amazing value in the 3 and 4 course options. Absolutely recommend and will dine there again!

    The entire experience was terrific: parking not too difficult; cuisine wonderful and portions perfect. Service impeccable and friendly. not rushed. We are an old married couple, it was a very romantic experience. And MUCH cheaper than we had expected!
