We came here on a recommendation by a friend. We were disappointed on so many levels. First we were advised that they were out of shrimp and it was only 7pm! So any dish that had shrimp needed a substitute protein or couldn’t be made at all. The fried green tomatoes with burrata was not as described the amount of burrata was tiny. It was like 2 small pieces of mozzarella. My husband had the crab and asparagus and he couldn’t even eat it as it was so fishy tasting. These were just the apps-dinner wasn’t much better But the worst part was the service -it was awful. We are not demanding people but the waiter was MIA a lot of the time. He took our drink orders (1 soda and 1 glass of wine). And only came to the table with my soda. My husband had to ask twice about his wine. Our apps came out and still nothing. Apps finished and still no drink. Finally he got it when they were clearing off our plates which brings me to the next issue. They cleared off the used utensils and he told me he would be back with a knife for me. Our meals came out and he was nowhere to be found. I had to eat my 3/4 of my meal without a fork before he finally came with one. Desserts were very good but again we waited forever for them to come out. We were going to say something as we left but the hostess didn’t even bother lifting her head up as we were leaving. We were so disappointed as this was our last dinner of our vacation and thought we were saving the best for last. I am sure this establishment probably won’t even see this review or care much as they will just get new tourists coming through but they are not the restaurant we were told they are

Always a good meal. Since it was during French Quarter Fest, it was crowded and loud. The crab cheesecake and fish were fabulous. The Pepper Duck was a little fatty and undercooked. We will return!

The food is, as always, amazing. I had the red fish and wish I could have more. The waiter we had (and I'm sorry I don't remember his name) was amazing. I would certainly go back.
