   Dining a Palladio was wonderful! It was like dining in Italy. the restaurant was lovely, the service was excellent as was the food and wine. The prices of the meal was like any upscale restaurant. The wine was more expensive but so well chosen to go with the meal. A delightful experience.

   My wife and I dined for lunch on our anniversary. The dining room was tastefully decorated and the service couldn’t have been more accommodating. The menu was a bit confusing unless you are familiar with Northern Italian dining. The wines were from their vineyard as 5 ounce pours and noteworthy. However, all though the salads and second round mushroom soup was excellent the crab dish and third round beef was tough and disappointing. Overall it was a romantic event somewhat spoiled by the $300+ cost.

   We have been to Palladio multiple times. Every other time has been a great experience for us until this last time. Initially the staff was very polite and accommodating. However, no one told us what the specials were; they just asked what we wanted to order. I heard servers saying disparaging things about other local wineries to other customers. Our first course was fine, but needed more seasoning. Our second course took over 45 minutes to arrive at our table. It was bland. It was the most expensive item on the menu, and I felt like I could have made it at home myself. It was really disappointing. For the amount of money we spent, it was the worst experience we have ever had at the restaurant. As I said before, usually we have amazing food and amazing service at Palladio and we always look forward to returning, but after this meal, we may not be returning.

   The food was delicious, not typical preparations- sooo much better. And accommodated my food allergies , without it being a challenge . The wines are excellent . And the service -- totally attentive without being intrusive , excellent level of all the staff. Definitely worth the drive for the experience !!

   BEST Italian restaurant in Virginia. Worth the drive. The food is innovative, seasonal and local. The Carpaccio is from Va. Truffles were in season and used liberally and made for great courses. The service is always professional and timely. The wine list of course is the best of Barboursville Vineyard and I’d recommend buying the wine recommended for each course for a full experience. Palladio is always a treat when staying in the Charlottesville area

   We had a wonderful lunch at Palladio. The star of the meal was the Wild Mushroom Risotto, but everything was delicious . And service was excellent.

    This is our favorite restaurant and the service is always outstanding second only to the quality and uniqueness of the food. We go here for every special occasion we can create.
