Paoli Schoolhouse American Bistro is located on the banks of the Sugar River in Paoli, WI. The Schoolhouse was built in 1864 and was converted into a restaurant in 2008. We pride ourselves in supporting local vendors and ingredients to bring you the best quality dishes.

Enjoy a meal in our beautiful bistro or on the deck/patio as weather permits. We have a great selection of wine, cocktails, and carry a variety of domestic and craft beers.

The Schoolhouse is also a great venue for small events - micro weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, baby showers, and any other celebrations!

It was a pleasure meeting friends for dinner last night. The 'moderate noise' was the guitar player and we're not complaining! It was very pleasant. We all enjoyed our meals and drinks. The Schoolhouse is a wonderful place to meet friends and the location isn't that far from Madison. Our server was a friendly gentleman who saw to our needs.

It was a fantastic meal!! Bryan, a sommelier. He was absolutely amazing, he was very thorough, funny, and made sure we had everything we ever needed. He also made a fantastic wine recommendation that was affordable and tasted amazing! He was some of the best service we had had in the madison area and we have been here for 5+ years. We had the goat cheese as a starter, it was great! The cheese was super fresh and the figs, carrots, sprouts, and tomatoes were a fantastic combination that surprised us greatly. We also had the veal and penne pasta, which was so tender and the pasta was incredibly fresh and light. I had the steak frites and my goodness it was so delicious, and also surprisingly not too heavy on the stomach. The steak was perfectly cooked and the fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned with the perfect amount of truffle. I was astounded at how amazing this meal was, I cannot recommend this place enough, I will be coming back very soon!

The food has always been excellent a the Paoli School House. What makes the Paoli School House wonderful is the wait staff. They are simply fun and engaging.

Another lovely experience! The high quality service and food was excellent as always. We had the Paoli Schoolhouse salad with chicken, quiche, cauliflower soup, and the lamb meatballs.
